BIOGRAPHY
Nikos Karavias grew up on the Greek island of Naxos, and started playing the guitar at the age of 8. He has been a scholarship student at the Athens Conservatory, studying classical guitar with Costas Cotsiolis. He was awarded his Guitar Diploma with top marks. The prestigious G. Likudis prize which had not been given to a guitarist for 8 years was awarded to him by the Athens Conservatory.
He currently lives in Austria, where he studies at the Mozarteum University with the guitar maestro Eliot Fisk. He has won national and international prizes in various guitar competitions. He has taken master classes with great guitar teachers such as: Aniello Desiderio, Marco Tamayo, Zoran Dukic, Joaquin Clerch and Odair Assad.
Nikos has played in Greece and abroad for charity.
