    Regarding night transpiration, it's not as insignificant as everyone seems to think. My extremely detailed notes show that night time transpiration is about 62% of daytime transpiration, on average. You don't believe me, look at your drop in WC overnight, or your condensate totals, or your change in weight over a period of daytime hours vs change in weight during the 12 night time hours.

    Anyone who’s actually tested coir probably knows it’s not sodium that’s a concern, but potassium. Potassium is off the charts in unwashed coir. Sodium is there, but is not as much of a concern.

    I don’t understand why water deprivation by high EC is any different from deprivation by low water content. He said low water content is not an acceptable control, but isn’t that identical to the effects of high EC?

      Here is my question, I have 4x8 table in my room 2 and 8 bar led lights. I run a open loop system drawing air from under the house. It works great it can be 115 degrees out side and only 86 degrees in the room. I'm in late flower week 7 out 10. My room temperature ranges this time of 84 to 70 degrees and 35 to 45 percent humidity. Some days they are fine with a 23 hour dry back. And some days they dry out before that. I hand water at moment setting up my drip system this weekend. And just got open sprinkler in the mail. I know I can set alerts for low water content and aroya has the ability to talk to open sprinkler and water for a set program. What kind of ideas or strategies or programs do suggests to handle this problem. And one outher question does aroya plan to make a program that will water for you when you hit certain low water continent? Thank you aroya fam love the pod so amazing.

    No sure if I’ll even get this answered 😭😭I missed the live … but I’m using jr crop tech currently on some gorilla cookies autos until my next round of photos come in and I can implement crop steering I know you would cut back on nutrient with autos compared to photos but what’s an ideal Ec for autos ? And I was running jungle juice and I would ph my feed but I haven’t since I’ve started using jr crop tech and so far I haven’t seen any problems in my last 2 runs is that normal ?

    • @SetTheCurve
      @SetTheCurve 13 днів тому

      Salts are not super sensitive to ph, not as much as soil. Also, autos respond to crop steering even more so that photos, so much so that you need to be careful to not overly speed up the rate of development (which could stunt the plant). Autos take the same nutrient program as photos during flower plus a built in 2-3 week veg. I didn’t see any reason not to grow them like other plants, just be very careful when crop steering because they are extremely steerable. If you give a bulking signal to autos in late flower you can reveg them. If you run generative too strong during early flower you can skip the bulk altogether on accident.

    🎯 Key points for quick navigation: 01:11 *🌱 Sensor density refers to monitoring plants with substrate sensors, crucial for understanding crop uniformity and guiding steering decisions.* 02:49 *📊 Having one substrate sensor per 100 square feet of canopy is a general guideline, but adjustments are necessary based on genetic diversity, environmental variations, and facility size.* 04:26 *🌿 Different strains in the same room require matching sensor density to effectively implement crop steering techniques.* 06:31 *📈 Increasing sensor density can significantly improve yield and enable better management of multi-strain rooms by providing more precise environmental and root zone data.* 10:30 *📉 Insufficient sensor density can hinder the ability to accurately assess crop response to steering adjustments, highlighting the importance of adequate data points.* 12:39 *🛠️ High sensor density helps detect issues like clogged emitters or irregular irrigation, preventing potential crop problems and maximizing production efficiency.* 16:09 *🔍 Redundancy in sensor data ensures reliability and helps identify sensor malfunctions or environmental anomalies promptly, crucial for maintaining operational consistency.* 22:03 *🌱 Crop steering can be feasible in truncated pyramid pots with high CEC substrates, provided plants aren't too large for the media size.* 23:41 *🚿 Maintaining runoff is crucial when using high CEC substrates to flush out accumulated EC and prevent nutrient buildup.* 28:26 *🌿 During the generative stage, EC levels should fluctuate, generally rising before irrigation to signal the plant.* 33:49 *🔍 Increasing runoff volume after the first irrigation event helps to reduce substrate EC levels effectively during crop steering.* 35:16 *🌡️ Placing sensors for environmental monitoring should be representative of the entire crop area, avoiding direct exposure to artificial influences like HVAC systems.* 42:29 *🌱 Being creative and resourceful is crucial in the cannabis cultivation industry, especially given the lack of comprehensive documentation.* 42:59 *🌿 Cannabis cultivation requires larger environmental deltas compared to traditional horticulture, emphasizing the need for unique HVAC solutions.* 44:08 *📈 Monitoring Electrical Conductivity (EC) levels during night cycles can reveal crucial insights into nutrient uptake and plant health.* 46:34 *🌱 Higher EC levels typically do not cause cultivars to stretch during the initial growth phase.* 50:10 *🧠 To combat the "correlation is causation" fallacy in data analysis, employ rigorous scientific methods like A/B testing with controlled variables.* 56:46 *🌙 Maintaining optimal Vapor Pressure Deficit (VPD) at night is crucial to avoid mold development during late flowering stages.* 59:07 *🌿 Gradually reducing nitrogen instead of stopping it completely during late flower stages helps prevent unwanted vegetative growth.* Made with HARPA AI
