    What music is ballroom danced to? Salsa? It's curious that ballroom is like salsa on2 but men starting with left leg, like salsa On1, but on time 2.

    Thank you for this video showing the "Country" Waltz. I am so tired of finding Waltz dance videos where the dance instructor says there is no such thing as "Country" Waltz - - and proceeds to teach the circular/flowing "Ballroom" style Waltz. There is a "big" difference between the two Waltz styles - and you are teaching "Traditional Country Waltz style" which is the way I teach my C/W dance classes since "1981" - all you need to make your dancin' a little more authentic are - some Justin Cowboy Boots, Wrangles, belt with a nice buckle, and a Cowboy Hat - Charlie One Horse Straw for the Summer, and Traditional Beaver Felt Stetson for the Winter. Thanks!! Chris

    Excuse me, sir, excuse me, what do you mean? The American ballero, it's a Cuban boulevard, it aint no American bullet Cuban in Spanish, buthat's a fact. Yes, but American bullet, really? What is this guy talking about? You might know how to dance, but don't say it's an American bullet, okay? Please don't insult us like that o k

      I understand why you’re saying this. Bolero is a traditional Cuban rhythm that ballroom dancers convert into ballroom steps and posture and call it Rhumba. I’m not a ballroom dancer. I used to teach beginners musicality at my best friend’s Cuban dance academy. He is Airagdin Pavon More. He specialises in son cubano, casino and rueda. He’s on UA-cam if you’d like to see him. There’s also some beautiful choreography in Brazilian Bolero which is more natural. The coreo has a few slow tango movements mixed with Cuban moves. Saludos de Sydney Australia!🇦🇺

    You have some good videos but in this you are not doing the 2step step correctly. With the 2step basic you must pass your feet with every step. 2step is a smooth dance, think of a tire that keeps rolling smoothly. To do this you must pass the feet with every single step -- step, step, walk, walk (qqss). You are doing: step, together, walk, walk. Step--together it puts a hesitation or a jerk in the dance that should not be there. That is like instead of having a round tire constantly rolling smoothly you have a flat spot were your tire rolls then "clunk," rolls, then "clunk." Pass your feet just like you are walking down the sidewalk!

    • @ICanChaCha
      @ICanChaCha 2 роки тому

      Hello and thank you for the notice! We actually teach 4 different variation of 2-step because dancing like everything constantly evolves!!! The one you mention is the most common especially for higher level dancers but in the beginning to help our beginners understand is a rhythmical walking and changes the length of the steps (short-short-long-long) helps them feel like they don’t just walk and match their actions to the beat while transferring the weight with different intensity 😉 Hope it makes sense we study dancing a lot the history the variations and we try to help every level of dancer the best we can!!!!

    It's important to point out in each & every video that there are ONLY two (2) dance styles done on ANY social Dance Club/Lounge anywhere in the World. Spot/Rhythm & Progressive/Traveling. The congestion Problem (s) we all run into these days is that Dance Instructors do not continually reinforce (Over & Over/ Ad Nauseum ),...... All Spot/Rhythm Dance Styles should be done in the CENTER of the Dance Floor,......Progressive/Traveling Dance Styles are done COUNTER CLOCKWISE in the two (2) outside lanes of the Dance Floor. Slower Progressive/Traveling Dancers on the inside Lane & the faster moving dances in the Outside FAST Lane. This way, we can ALL perform our dance of choice at the very same time to each particular Music Selection. Thank You!

      Hello Ricardo. Excellent observation. I started dancing by learning figures and patterns. THEN putting it to music. The better method is listening to music first then learning to move WITH the music. Try listening to very very slow 4beat music, then come back to this video. Keep dancing.
