How to use, set and maintain a torque wrench
Переглядів 10 тис.Рік тому
Vanessa Ruck, a.k.a. @TheGirlOnABike gives us an introduction on how to use, set and maintain a TengTool torque wrench. What is a torque wrench? A torque wrench enables you basically to put the correct load onto the fastener you’re working on. Some go “white knuckles”, meaning they go with what “feels right” based on experience. With the tolerances on modern engines and mechanics, actually maki...

Thanks
I got a tool unit for ya
Sockets absolutely have to be vertical proper 😊
Great tools but plastic trays soon crack and break up after any use. If Teng did them with sponge shadow boards they would last way longer!
Just wanna say half my toolbox at work is teng tools all my sockets and rachets are and my hammers, I love them best feeling tools dont get cramp after hours of uses, I would love to get the trolley next just gotta save up, can't wait to see what else comes out
I would like to try this setup but I work on everything from motorcycles to heavy equipment and I see no large sized wrenches and the box is not big enough for the larger wrenches … so what is their solution?
My top tip for organising a tool chest like this - get a label maker and print out labels for the drawer fronts identifying what's in there. It's quite cheap, and easy to change if you swap things around.
How do you super reset the combination lock I can't remember my password
Can teng tools torque wrenches be wound out to far, or do they have stops to prevent this?
I don't see this kit on web site is it available anytime soon? Thanks
Best video I've seen on this, yet STILL not a word on the angle adjustment in the head of these tools!!
That is a dream setup... I wish a can afford something like this for the motorcycle work. One day maybe...
TengTools are they good quality?? Also to work on a car what torq wrench you need it 40-200 nm or more/less?? Thanks
PPE for a Torque Wrench 🤣🤣🤣.
Thank you
Taiwan is great manufacturing screwdrivers bits and screwing stuffs but I don't like this screwdrivers. Better flat head on screwdrivers are PB Swiss because flat head screws inside their slot have parallel walls because it is a milled slot. You can't hope to save the screws applying torque on small portion of material with a wedge or a cuspid shaped blades like on nuts and bolts you have to spread force on the larger amount of material in the flank not on corners... similar principles to save most moving flat screws. About crosses Pozidriv or Philps but also JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard P not PH) the twin with Phillips but different in engagement quotes... mostly on Japanese assembly products About handles I don't like grip rubber and I want an enhanced trilobular shape with a rigid handle such as Wright or Mayhew copy of Snap-on instinct hard grip, but also like JH Williams WRS-1 ... trilobular rigid handle means torque while hands or gloves are wet oily or greasy with no friction only bones structure that grabs and torque, but also a screwdriver that doesn't roll and is easy to clean in the end of job, but also again a screwdriver not chewed over time. About handle colors they should be color coded so you know e.g. red is flat, yellow is philips, light blue is pozi, blue is allen metric, green is torx so on. Not all the same color. About handle it must resist to aggressive chemicals like hydraulic oils or brake cleaner... About handles I like the hole to hang or to use inserting another screwdriver Irazola teckno was like that, but I definitely prefer having a hex on the shank 12mm to torque with a wrench or a ratcheting wrench lower near the tip without flexion. This days I don't like complaining like this tendency reinventing the wheel each time. Because all manufacturers should not make tools who look cool as snickers following a family feeling branding style, they should actually test tools with people that use them, moreover, some actual industrial states of the art points are stated, defined. Why they don't just provide what is mostly required as a base? Further if they want mold on or press the blade doesn't really matter if screwdriver works proficiently well.
NO NO NO 460mm DEPTH!!! it is like IKEA helmer £45 but this is about £1 990.80 only the lower "cab" empty. I'm European, used to see this kind of miserly stingy boxes from all sort of OEM tools manufacturers with fool prices. I hate them. I'm not wrong, this sort of cabs is wrong. It has no depth and it is tall, but it will also fall without upper chest. Following this stinginess with all the rest of the organization full of limitations and restrictions for the user, and it makes no sense like those other noisy european one at time opening. About box examples take a look around, at least to provide something like US General or other cheap Harbor Freight boxes such as Husky or YUKON, perhaps something like old classic Bahco C75 26" or 40". IMO No serious box is less than 50cm = 500mm = 19.69 inches in depth compromising stability while opening loaded drawers, in fact limiting severely the way you work. People who use tools must have some peace of mind from this project errors and frustrations. And also remember, box should contain also larger items 24" breaker bars? Pry bars? Sockets must go vertical, pliers must go cut not plane, like dishes in the kitchen rack, power tools such as impact wrenches grinders and stuffs must present the handles hanging easy to grab and change on the line while working. Again, people has power tools and also chargers, so in some spot you have to get at least a path for cords if not a proper electrified drawer to recharge batteries while box is closed. But most of all you seriously can't work fine worrying each time you open drawer that the entire box fall upside down. It makes no sense spending £1 990.80 lower cab empty only.
Mam I forgot number
So you sound like you are in the UK. That said. I am looking at doing what you are saying. Can I get a list of all the tool sets you have. Thanks
Why does mine not give a an audible notice ? I have only used it once but it don’t click loud enough compared to other branded ones.
I have this exact kit, it's fantastic. Great quality, as expected.
Thank you very much. ... Mini Cooper S. Powerful Motor Stool ... Thanks again!

Hola auntie do you drive barefoot
ive just started managing a school workshop and have lots of teng tool boxes and dont know the codes boxes are open and i want to lock them how can i reset them ?
Customer comes in for their car and see there is a torque wrench in a vice (yeah mate just warming up my torque wrench) as a Mechanic my self we really dont have time for that.
Well, if you ever find the time now you know how it is done :)
How much price
about $10 per piece
Love it, its on my shopping list for my new motorbike repair channel.
I don't want to tell you how to necessarily do your job, but wouldn't it make sense to organize the tool storage units according to tools most commonly used all day long ? In other videos, I noticed that most mechanics organize their tool boxes in this fashion , that is , the most used tools are more readily accessible than those that are less used. Tools , time , and motion play a big part in profitability.
Me gusta mucho la herramienta de teng para mí taller sería una maravilla
I like your set up and it's very nice
💖🤗 😘 🇸🇪
1:41 She is going to TORQUE through all of these :P.... 3:50 lets Torque about the do's and the don't s.

Great overview of what appear to be very fine quality tools! Are these available in the U.S.A. 🇺🇸 ?

Excellent demonstration of circlip plier sets. This appears to be a great set of tools! I need to set all my odd and end circlip pliers aside and get a complete set Teng! Cheers Vanessa:).
the explanation of what is a torque wrench is beautifully moronic :)
Please make a video about the differences between regular Teng torque wrenches and the Plus line.
The demonstration at 5.10 of how to use the torque wrench showed an incorrect method - you will only get an accurate setting if the wrench clicks while the bolt/nut is moving in a continuous tightening motion. If it clicks as soon as you apply the torque to a stationary bolt/nut, the higher breakaway torque needed to overcome the friction to start it moving can lead to a false reading. If this happens you should loosen it by 1/4 to 1/2 a turn and retighten in a continuous motion until it clicks again.
Heya Rick! True, but I believe that sequence was to demonstrate what the 'click' sounds like. Best regards Emil, TengTools
How to recalibrate yourself, would have been helpful.
Do we send to you have recalibrated? If so how long it takes from the USA
If you’re in the U.S., I would highly recommend sending it to Torque Team in Bismarck, North Dakota.
@@Combat556 yes in the USA
@@shepherdsfleetservicesllc8147 Team Torque is the best in the country.
@@Combat556 I will look into them
Nice setup. I love the size! Realistically, I have never seen a mechanic with a perfectly manicured tool box like that except maybe a first year apprentice, although they would probably have a box half the size. I would need ten toolboxes to for all the gear I have it I used all of those trays. I tend to throw away all the trays cause they take up so much room. Apart from multiple socket racks, no trays. Great setup anyway.
I keep the outer trays to use as drawer dividers, and chuck out the moulded inner trays - much less wasted space that way!
Amazing eyes
Aw thank you
The term "three and a quarter" would signify a 3 and one quarter inch socket. A big old fat 3.25 inch socket. A properly termed "three quarters" socket would signify a normal .75 inch socket. Just so you know. Nice that the sockets indicate metric or imperial.
Love Teng tools. Should have bought more when the price was cheaper
Badass setup
very good made video Vanessa! thanks
Well explained. Didn't know you had to 'warm up' a torque wrench before using it. Will remember that the next time I use one. They look great. Let's see if they deliver overseas😉👊😎
As a diesel tech I wouldn't buy these tools nor in comparison to name brand snap on Mac bluepoint Cornwell it's easy to upgrade tools and trade in broken tool exchange the prices are to high for no history snap on is big for handing out tools on credit during the depression era giving tools to mechanics to help them make a living seems like a Craftsman tool that can't back there quality with warranty
Nice piece of kit
Ooh yeaaa... Teng🇸🇪
