Everything Roller Skate Trucks! Live video April 2020

How you roller skate depends on your set up. Trucks are one of the ways you can adjust your skates, so you can be a better roller skater. Watch this video and build your confidence on handling parts. More videos to come!
How do we adjust an axle that sticks more on one side on a suregrip truck?
Thumbs up

I just started back roller skating thanks to a friend of mine, he gave me some used skates. They are terrible, the left skates keeps going to the right crossing me up, and the trunks has a screw that needs a screw driver. What can I do if anything?
Definitely replace the cushions (aka bushings). The trucks likely have a nut against the plate, which will require possibly an 11/16th skinny wrench. Loosen this nut first, it will likely be super tight. Leave some lithium grease on there for a while to soak in perhaps - it can help. Once you loosen that nut against the plate, you can unscrew the flat head. Do one at a time to reference rebuilding. I hope this helps! Thanks for your comment.
@@retrorollersinc.9333 Thanks but I just bought a new pair of skates...Sure Grip Fame and they go straight but I have no idea how to adjust the trunk so they can pivot,, or turn in then? I look at the Trunk and that slim tool that they use to hold the trunk....it's not there. So I don't know what to do now.
@@retrorollersinc.9333 I bought some new skates...they Sure Grip Fame's but I discovered that their trunks are different. I don't know how to adjust them. Can anyone help.
Great video, your wifes questions really made this a in depth and complete 🎥 video. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks just got skates Rock GT 50 and I haven’t skated since Jr high and I’m 65 years young. Don’t remember it being this difficult. I adjusted my wheels and Trucks as I watched the video so I’ll be testing them but waiting for Safty gear to arrive in a couple days Thanks great video
I was born 1971. I miss roller skating as a kid. My wife and I wanna get a pair with lighted wheels and roll around our community in the dark. STOKED!! I'm only 9 minutes in and I'm sitting here with my mouth hanging open. LEARNING big time. . . . . 45 degree VS 10 degree. Ok back to the Vid.
This was incredibly helpful
45 Degrees is the angle of the ACTION, not the angle of the kingpin. The action angle is measured between the pivot and where the kingpin goes through the truck. The angle of the kingpin has very little to do with the action angle. And the SMALLER the action angle the MORE turn you get for the same lean. Not the other way around.
You guys rock! I really appreciate how you showed everything from set up to how they move when we wear them. Thank you for this video! 💯🥰
