Waynes World 2 Del Preston's Ozzy Story
Переглядів 622 тис.12 років тому
Waynes World 2 Del Prestons Ozzy story : So there I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweet shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and D...

How To Play No Sleep Till Brooklyn by Beastie Boys
To this day, whenever Sri Lanka comes up in conversation with my friends, which granted, isn't a lot, we always follow it with, "formerly Ceylon".
Nasty business really
Starbucks by the laundry 🧺 room
Dale Presta Bud Rutherford b.
Thousands M&Ms seems a lot.
Nasty business really
For a couple seconds there I thought Del Preston was Taika Waititi but that would make absolutely no sense
I used to do this impersonation for kids in my class growing up.
“Shri Lanka, formerly known as Shri Lanka”
I can never make it past "So there's me, Keith Moon and David Crosby breakin' into this sweet shop" without busting out laughing. 😅
I like how Del reflects about the deaths of the shopkeeper and his son, then declares the most important thing is the show was a success.
One of my all time favorite stories 🤣
So, we go! And its closed.
The guy at 0:38 is just mesmerized.
This was totally written by someone who'd seen Withnail & I too many times and spent a long time thinking "What else do I want to hear Ralph Brown say in his Danny voice?"
It’s always been interesting to me that Ralph Brown, the actor playing Del here, was in Star Wars Episode One. He played the pilot of the queen’s ship earlier in the movie; Ric Olié. He’s not really a household name, but has been in a whole lot of movies, including Alien 3 and Steven Spielberg’s Amistad.
Florida at the top
Dale Jim Harris j Preston r.i.p.
This grass is grown precisely 10000 feet above sea level
Hahahaha amazing how the story turns so dark 😂
Del Preston, the Roadie is a tribute to Danny, the drug dealer (played by the same actor) in a Richard E. Grant film called Withnail and I
The story behind the m and ms is cause its a requirement on the riders. If the place will do that with the m and ms the band knows they did everything else right as far as setting up the stage to be safe for the audiemce
My best friend and I used to recite this entire monologue in 7th grade together. The fact that I was still able to do it right now speaks volumes... I miss you Josh Padilla.
My favourite though is when he tells the story to Milton (Chris Farleys character) 😂😂😂😂
The way Wayne looks after he says the father and son line is priceless
Still quote this. In the accent
Id love to sit with Del and pick his brain
Anyone who's a fan of this character watch withnail and I he plays the dealer exactly same personality ❤
0:38 😂😂😂😂 this guy deserves all the awards in the world
Most underrated bit of comedy is the waitress at this coffee and doughnuts shop bringing Del a fancy teapot and matching cup, as if saved specifically for any British customers
I never noticed this, that's quite funny and subtle. Love it !
I never noticed that, that’s superb
lol
First time noticing lmao
Well they love tea 🍵 me too as well both coffee and tea oh and tetley tea too
... college boys. College girls. Yknow i punched a liom once amd skated with Tony Hawk! True story. ❤
Gordon street. .???… can we get a better actor??.. omg it’s charlton Heston .👍👍Moses n Ben-hur 😂😂
I swear no one could deliver this as well as Ralph Brown.....
I love how David Crosby is in the mix 😂
I have pulled so many birds reciting this it is unreal, a great one for the birds in the kebab shop at 2 in the morning boys.
Alas, a great oscar clip that never was🤣
Could this have something to do with the brown acid at the Grateful Dead Show? I bet it was a neo nazi hit...... literally
It was a great show mate, Though may I offer this suggestion. Next time mix skittles in with the M&M's so nobody makes that mistake again. God bless and Rock and Roll never dies.
“Calm your boots man, this pill is valued at £2”
This is the exact same character (and actor) as in 'Withnail and I' and I love it
great video, buddy!
Classic.
And did a greeeeat show 😂😂😂 kills me that bit
This movie is fuckin 30 years old!
Garth’s face is priceless the whole way 😂😂😂
00:38, dude looks like some norvegian Black Metal Dude from 1991.
Nasty business really...
Craziest thing about this whole story is that Ozzy is the only one still alive
Right?! 😂
He was perfect for that role! I love how keeps telling the same story lol
