The Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy was founded in 1964 to combat increasing pollution in the Perkiomen Creek. Today the Conservancy serves the people and communities of the 362 square-mile watershed by conserving and protecting land and water resources through commitment to and leadership in environmental education, watershed stewardship and conservation programs.

A private 501 (c) (3) nonprofit, the Conservancy is dependent in part on donations, grants and sponsorships.
