I am a percussion teacher that lives in the beautiful Barossa Valley in South Australia and has the privilege of teaching in the public school system in the Barossa and in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. The videos that you can find on this channel are made to support the material that my students are learning. Over the last few years I have started uploading all my teaching curriculum to the Drum Barossa website which is divided up into a few different courses. Level 1, 2, and 3 drum kit, SACE (South Australian Certificate of Education), beginner ensemble course (lots of bucket drumming), repertoire demonstrations and tutorials, and some tuned percussion. All the courses are constantly growing and evolving as I get time to create new material.

I am constantly amazed and inspired by the talent, quality and production of the material that I find on youtube. I hope that you find some of these lessons helpful.

Nice work! And thanks for posting this vid - working up some of these solos and great to have as a reference.
Thank you for your service!
hey mr yeen in one of your studens on the after noon im wonderint if theres gonna be a bongo one for celebration or balavard of broken dreams
Good plan! I will do that. I don't think we are going to do this song at our workshop but it will be fun to work on
I remember playing that over and over when I was learning to play the drums in the mid 70's.
Hey just a friendly tip drums get much easier when you use exclusively your wrist another thing is to keep your thumbprint on the stick I know it’s hard to get into but drums get really easy when that happens
Thank you. I've been pounding away on the drums for several months now. As soon as I think I have 4/4 figured out I learn there's a whole new counting method 6/8 12/8 etc. Why do they make this so hard haha.
Nice lesson thx 👍
Would you like the pdf or Sibelius file?
Where can I get this arrangement?
Stumbled on this by accident. Tom Brown was my vibraphone teacher, and percussion ensemble instructor at Sch'dy CC. Thanks for this!😁
I've always liked this particular number. I especially liked your accents on the 16th notes at the end of the song. Great job, Chris!
It was great!
Genial, very good lesson. Thanks!
Good job, helped me a lot👍👏
Thank you for vid. I was doing a sound check the other night. My drummer went into a groove that I liked very much..I would like to describe it but do not know time sig . I think it might be 12/8 thus looking at vids like yours..very helpful for me as bass player.
Try listening to a recording while playing it to make sure you’re in time. Also this tenor drums are set WAY too high.
Respectfully your marching band days are over give it up
SO COOL JJJJJJJJJJJJJJ
