Amazing
Fun video!
You guys are the real deal !
We try! Musky fishing is high risk high reward, we got 1, makes the trip worth it, Pike were a great filler!
sick video man what lake is that
This lake was Cameron in fenelon falls. Definitely a tough fish for musky
@@TrollLineFishing hell ya dude im on sturgeon you ever fish here
@StanleySixSpeed I’ll be out there this weekend on sturgeon trying to get some!
@@TrollLineFishing Aye maby ill see you out there im on the west side of the lake :)
@StanleySixSpeed if not tight lines!
I enjoy watching your videos.
I smash 10" believers into rock all fall. They take an impressive beating and are built very tough. The "lip" of a believer being build into the plug itself is what makes them soooo durable for smashing into rock. Jakes and grannies are great but the lips will break or separate. The 10" believer, straight or jointed, has produced countless big fish in my boat.
I’m a lover of a believer do not get me wrong! But I know a buddy you possibly lost the fish of a life time as his jointed believer was in 2
Hilarious vlog dear😍. I lvideo. What camera do you use for shooting video? If you don't mind, how can we talk more about your channel? Can i get your E-mail addressoved your ? UA-cam Comment: {have E-mail only}

Thanks for the support! Much appreciated
What temps in the Kawarthas would you stop burning baits, High 60's you thinkin? Or more into the mid 60's?
Great question, mid 60s is a great place to slow down, but still reel in at a good pace. In the late fall you really slow that presentation in
@@TrollLineFishing ah true enough thats good know thanks for the advice!
@@coreyielo8249 slow rolling in the all and burning in the summer. Spring is the in between
@@TrollLineFishing makes sense I haven't had a ton of luck casting since June. And would mid 60's be a good temp to slow down elsewhere as well?
@coreyielo8249 where are you fishing, mid 60s you still want to reel in at a decent pace just not crazy. If you go watch my speed of reel in the almost lost a kawartha keeper at the net and then go watch Labour Day special at the back of the video, you can see the difference of speeds over a few weeks
Great demo. Liked the vid. Just subscribed to your channel for future vids. Keep up the great work and tight lines
Water temp, weeds ,cover and light conditions are the prime factors in using topwaters, it does not have to be supper calm out, i fish them in chop up to 7 or 8 inch ripples, The fish will chase them out of the defence mechanism and curiosity,, not just sight or vibration,
I did mention sunny days are premium, and little to no chop. I have seen people try in 1-2 foot chop, not ideal.
Good tip, thanks!
Can I please have a lure? I’m just starting musky fishing.
Hey Case I am going to be running a 500 subscriber giveaway shortly that you will have a chance at winning!
3:36 my dad got a 2 foot Muskie in that lake ;)
Agree 👍 I wouldn't mind them stocking the Kawarthas again. Maybe do more to get rid of the pike as well
At this point I don’t know if we can stop the like takeover as much as introducing a musky breed that survives cohabit, like Georgian bay
@@TrollLineFishing ya true enough eh. That would be a lot of work to get rid of the pike at this point
@coreyielo8249 plus if we get rid of pike we will definitely have musky caught as well
The pile and musky and bass can run a good fishing place for sure. It has here for tout and salmon.
R.I.P Steve You were a great human and an awesome fisherman Until we meet again Tight lines❤
This is a nice memoriam. Condolences on losing your friend.
Good luck this fall!
Thanks! Hopefully getting out this weekend and avoiding the rain!
Do u run mostly flouro leaders or steel?
I do 100% flouro 100-150lbs strength
@@TrollLineFishing this will be my first season fishing musky, a lot of info out there I have picked up both flouro and steel leaders we shall see! Thanks for the reply man
No problem! Steel leaders are better for jerkbaits and fluoro are better for casting and trolling. Check out muskie husky leaders
Good stuff, thanks!
Some nice musky baits that you bought. It sucks that I am currently living outside musky country
That’s unfortunate! It would be hard for me to move out of musky country. Would have to be better for my family completely or I don’t know if I could
Thanks Richard
Was definitely really well organized and took a lot of hard work!
Looks like a great day
We have had a few good outings there and lost a 44-46” there last season
Only knot I seem to use !!! Great tip for everyone!
Seems to not fail me as of yet. I had a situation where the line snapped 8-10 inches up from the knot which made me a believer. The lure was found floating with my leader and that 8-10 inches of line beyond it
Definitely have fishing on your mind haha ! Best of luck get a giant!
Thanks! I have been putting off doing what I want to do too much! Life is short make the best and fish it!
Good luck this season guys
Thanks JP, you as well!
Be fishing kawarthas need a 13 in grandmas been there since before you were born 😉
I know I’m guilty as charged
I just bought a 13'' grandma remake by one of my favourite bait makers and it is built a little tougher
Good luck on your november trip!
Thanks hoping for a couple fat ones!
Trolling black/gold or black/orange rubber in the fall seems to be good too for some reason.
I find rubbers in kawartha’s only work for me casting, but LSC they work great off boards
@@TrollLineFishing ya I've had some mixed feelings about trolling rubber in the Kawarthas too. Try downsizing
Good video, fun times. Losing a few is just part of musky fishing. I lost a nice one at the net solo fishing this year, but I also caught a 45 fishing with my 14 year old son, so it's been a great year here.
The guy who netted my 45 this year was only his 2nd time fishing and he is scared of fish! But like you said made for great stories
Nice catch Steve
Great catch, glad she didn’t get away
Thanks, the lure I was using has 2 hooks and the hook that wasn't in the fishes mouth was what hooked up and it came out easily.
Great video guys!! Looks like you really did well out there, some awesome fish there!! I also like making fishing videos and really enjoyed your content, liked and subscribed!! Keep it up!! 🤝 🤝
Thanks a lot for the support! We definitely had a good day. Hoping for a better hook up ratio next time.
Nice action. How fast do you troll bucktails? Any thoughts on why they weren’t staying pinned?
Honestly we changed speed between 3.5-4.2. All hits came 3.9+. If you look at the holders, I believe there is to much give. If you look at my Lund in another video, there is less give with the holder itself
Which lake
Thank you Richard for all the great videos , love your content
Thanks JP and congrats again!
Get your hands on a Kirby by Mortimer baits. I finally won one (8 inch jointed) and I've never seen a bait thump so hard relative to its size. Lots of people swear by them. Also, I'd recommend the 10 inch boss shad x-deep. Once properly tuned, this bait can be trolled fast or extremely slow without losing its action. I run it a tonne and it's one of those baits that tends to outperform if you're out trolling with a buddy for example and you each have a rod that if she dumps, it's yours to retrieve. Best of luck in '22
I had a kirby but really hard to fish in my waters. I seem to have most success in 12-16’ of water and weeds are anywhere from 1-5 ft off bottom. I use a lot of the shimmy shads, boomsticks and handlebarz spinners! Good luck to you as well!
Uh, where you catching pike in the Kawarthas?
This is a small lake off of simcoe so the pike making it through the dams was inevitable.
glad to see you guys out and catching... I just want to know what happened to your net man(aka part time Steve they call him lol)on your Dockside bass
He was chirping me about my leafs going down, thats why I compared his packers to my leafs!
@@TrollLineFishing lol...I'm a leafer aswell.... Steve should be more worried about his Packers... maybe we could see a lion's sweep LOL .... could you imagine how degrading that would be LOL
It would be pretty bad! They have possibly one of the best statistical QBs ever, but only got 1 ring out of him, a big shame
@@TrollLineFishing good luck on the musky opener to the both u! Stay safe!
@@chrisrudge688 you as well, we are going out Saturday
Lot of great info brother!
Thanks for checking us out!
I am ready to win the bait man!!!!!! Lol I disagree for ice fishing eyes freeze and fish freeze 🥶 Aswell as poor handling on the ice is not good. If people use 6” holes targeting them not good. Lots of scenarios. I will Just leave them alone I will wait for opener.
Thats a great reason behind not ice fishing them! On facebook it created discussions for pros and cons! Definitely interesting takes!
Amazing man keep it up
Thanks man! Your almost at the 1K mark good stuff!
Stopping by to see how things are going bud. I just read a comment you left on my page 4 years ago. Hope things are well!
Still growing, slowly but started putting more into the channel in the last year. Watch hours up 100% in the last 12 months! Small gains! Thanks for the comment!! Your channel is the dream!
How did it work out?
So far no complaints! Honestly did just fine! But that is casting what is capable of. Didn’t cast pounders or rubbers that were 2 heavy. It did blades fine
Agreed. You raise a great point here
Some of the discussions online involved mishandling and stress on fish, so some great discussions!
Man I wanna win that bait!!!
Once we reach 200 subs will be drawing a lucky winner!
Nice baits. Good luck with them. All I would like to have are some Muskies Canada vintage logo stickers in various sizes. Did you see those there?
I actually did not! That would be interesting
Sweet additions!!
Good stuff Richard!
Hey Chris thanks for the comment!
That Otter is nice! Nice pike, crazy catfish. I haven't been ice fishing in ages, you guys are doing it right.
Definitely comfortable!
