Hello, my name is Sameem, but you can also call me Sammy.
Music has been a huge part of my life, but because of certain reasons, I'm not pursuing a professional career in the performing arts.
Being of Persian decent, I sometimes arrange and perform songs in Persian, which are mostly pieces from pre-revolutionary Iran. But I also have classical Chinese songs included to my repertoire, as I've also spent half of my childhood growing up in Mainland China.
In summer of 2015, my video of me performing Chinese folk songs won the attention of Chinese media, which all began on July 4th of that year, when my video of the folk song "Dragon Boat Tune" was promoted to the homepage of the Chinese app called "Meipai".
Although I've had this channel since April of 2007, only recently (August of 2020) I've began sharing content through UA-cam for the first time. I am rather occupied with college work nowadays, but I'll try to share as much as I can through this channel.

Hao Ri Zi (Auspicious Day) MV Cover - 好日子 (外国人版MV)
This is way overdue, but after four years in the making, it’s finally here! 😃 Here’s my personal MV cover of one of my favorite Classical Chinese songs of all time - Hao Ri Zi (好日子) - which translates to "Good Day(s)" or "Auspicious Day"! 🧧
I first shared this video last year for Chinese netizens as last year marked the 25th anniversary of this song since it was performed at the 1998 Spring Festival Gala by famous Chinese folk singer Song Zuying (宋祖英). 🎵
I didn't feel ready to post this video here until now due to timing and editing issues, and even though I wasn't able to include everything I hoped in this video, I still felt that it came out rather well for a purely personal project. So I'm sharing it now in celebration of this year's Lunar New Year!
In the back of my head, I’ve always wanted to make my own music video of this song as far back as Year 2007, but as I developed the musical skills, met more musician friends, gained a following in China, and obtained the financial means necessary, I was finally able to start making this childhood dream become a reality. 🥹
