After pushing a DRZ up a hill, it was nice to open it up a little bit on the track home, even with the impending empty fuel tank.

Anyone have a recommendation for an up and DOWN blipper for the 1190 Adventure? I need upshifts and downshifts.
Only upshifts.
Thanks for loading the vid. My 1290 activates the rear ABS with medium brake pedal pressure. I just replaced the rear speed sensor but the problem still remains. Does this sound like an ECU issue ?
hello please I have a problem with my ktm 1190R year 2015 the born dashboard no longer lights up
Maybe check the connector at the back of the dash? Other than that you’d probably have to get it to a dealer.
@@endurodad3075 thanks
There is a quickshifter for the 1190 software only
I went there yesterday 😂✌️
I ride there but go faster
x2nyrax How do I get to be as cool as you?
just practised I guess. I'm not the best but I'm decent
Nah you are the best dont ever be modest drop the 2 fingers in your pfp and just keep the solo pointer up.
Epic
Mitchell Bailey are you Mitchell from school
Mitchell Bailey I’m jake
Mitchell Bailey Jesse and Jacob were playing today
Good stuff! Was just there today... very rough and rutted in and out of the corners. Hopefully they get around to fixing it one of these days!
Hi, just came across your vid,,,, does the Nomad expand a bit over time? Im thinking seriously of getting one Cheers
Hey Rob, I doubt it very much as they’re made of very thick plastic, mine certainly didn’t.
@@endurodad3075 Cheers, i will go the Nomad as its the most sensible choice
Hello Do you have a description of how to remove the db killers?
Are you only running the shinko tire in the front?
Hello. I'm planning to get these Shinko E 240s, the white wall ones. Can you give me a review of this pair of tyres ?
Look great, handle like crap!
Hi, we sell these Heal Tech units from our store in Bunbury. We are helping a guy who bought just the harness from us for a unit he picked up from a mate. Anyhow, can you confirm the install is still working and that you just mounted it to the lever partway along? He is trying to use the shaft where the shift lever moungs, and it's causing him issues. Cheers. Dave at Hurtle Gear
Hey Dave, working perfectly after a couple of years, I've not had any issues with it! and yes it comes with a drill bit to make a new hole in the shift lever about halfway through, don't think there was any specific place for it.
Thnaks @@endurodad3075 , I've wandered off and found Rottweiler and it turns out the Quickshifter is different. I have another question though, are they mirrors mounted with RAM Mounts? Who makes/ made them?
Dave at Hurtle Gear Yup, they are, the mirrors are by a company called DoubleTake they’re virtually indestructible too, easy enough to find in Perth, I think Motorrad Garage stocks them or Adventure Moto over east.
Great video good job
Thanks, not much effort in the way of editing etc. but the trip was heaps of fun!
That’s good
Keep up the good work👍👍😃
What´s the gain with the Velocity Stack?
There's supposed to be a significant HP gain, but to be honest, the bike has so much power who cares, I did it because it made the throttle response a lot smoother, the standard air filter sucks so this just was neater with the Rottweiler filter.
That whole time I thought that big nastry rut would be the culprit... I was wrong! Was it a root?
Yeesh and glad your head didn't hit that log!
eveRide ADV yeah my head is glad for that too, the hill was a little steep and as it levelled out I did a mini jump and landed right in front of a big loose rock, and had my steering damper not been in for repair I might have kept it up, but probably the lack of #everide stickers on the new bike :)
That’s pretty crappy of Rottweiler to sell a product that isn’t even designed to fit the KTM nor includes a retrofit solution.
Captndarty They were pretty up front about it needing a bit of creativity to get it fitted.
1190 Adventures I understand that but Rottweiler has so many very thorough and clever solutions with all their products I’m very surprised they didn’t have one for the quick shifter especially since they knew how creative the installer needs to be...
What have you set your cut out time to? How is the gearbox holding up almost a year later?
I've never changed it from the stock 65ms, and if anything it's easier on the gearbox, the gear changes are smoother than I could do manually, It's certainly easier on the clutch!
@@endurodad3075 could you maybe inbox me or a way to get ahold of you i am wanting to do the same thing
Hey finally! Someone has done a video on this. Ever since seeing the quickshifter in the menu of my 1190r i have wanted to add it. Could I ask why you went the aftermarket as opposed to the genuine ktm quick shifter?
Genuine KTM one doesn't exist for the 1190.
Yes it does it is a software upgrade
@@Gnux91 from what I just read it was not available on the 1190 and next gen 1290. It was just a carry over on the menu from the rc8 and is not functioning or approved by KTM. That’s why an aftermarket unit like this is necessary. It IS a software update on the latest 1290 adventure. I have the healtech QS on my 2010 GSA.
Hey mate, any info on where you got the quickshifter? Cheers
I bought it from Rotweiller Performance in the States.
Hehe, as you were sliding backwards Im yelling at the screen "let the clutch out, let the clutch out"
Nerb1 haha, yeah I yelled it at myself as soon as I started thinking again! When I was sliding backwards with neither of my feet on the ground and a stalled bike there wasn’t a lot of thinking going on :)
You do get those strong westerlys there!
Nerb1 oh yeah, most days it’s manageable, this took me completely by surprise. Thank god for the 1190!!
Did you buy it new in 2013 or second hand? As you know, I love the bike to. I hope you do show us all around Perth. Ive only been there once, in 1990. I'd guess its changed a bit.
Nerb1 gonna get a lot more active with summer coming round, I’ve only lived here for 6 or so years after moving from London. There are some great rides to be had though, will be doing Uluru and the gunbarrel highway next year!
i just got a 1290 adventure r , apparantly the quick shifter is already installed in the engine???? if you want the option its a case of paying the dealer to unlock the ecu to activate it.. in down blipper
lewis eyers that sounds strange, I thought the new 1290 came with it standard.
1190 Adventures yes standard but not active till unlocked..By ktm for a fee!!
lewis eyers I don’t Believe the 1190 ever came with a quick shifter. Just 1290s
@@Captndarty Quite right, just not an option on the 1190!
Awesome
Thank you so much
I prefer these clips with sound. your previous post, of a similar content without sound wasn't as enjoyable/interesting.
did you bugger up your leg? sprain, fracture or brake?
dino76 broke 4 bones in my right foot, still got some metal in there now holding it all together.
1190 Adventures shite! what kind if boots were you wearing? touring or dirt? I always wear my dirts when going off road...
Forma Adventure boots, I've since gotten rid of them and have proper mx boots
hey bro, in Sydney, cape coloured originally, parents relocated during apartheid. 100% see myself as Aussie. I'm a SABA - South African Born Australian. f650gs (don't hold that against me😉) called Bumblebee or BB for short. I don't spend enough time off road, but looking to remedy that once I get over my fractured tailbone - not a riding injury. looking forward to your future vids.
Thanks for the encouragement, and the F650GS is a great bike, in fact any bike you love is a great bike! Hope you're riding again soon!
Just awesome. How long did it take to get to Kalbarri from Perth via offroad tracks? And did you come back the same route. Did you encounter any bike issues whilst out there?
Albert Mar we did it over 4 days, not nearly as much dirt as we hoped for. The bikes performed beautifully except for a dodgy side stand on a Strom which led to a cracked windscreen.
Nice trail. Is that in dwellingup?
1190 Adventures oh ok cool think I rode that track when I was a kid. Looks familiar
you fool !
Great video, will throw away my recall notice if it can be fixed that easily. TY!
Just received my recall notice in the mail today. Thanks for the visual!
You have saved me a visit to the dealer!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
Finbheara Absolute pleasure!
Thanks for sharing :)
No problem
easy and clear, thank you very much!!!
It's a pleasure.
Brutal bike! Are you using a roland sands seat?
Thanks! Yeah it's the RSD Enzo.
