The Super NES was originally supposed to have an FM sound source instead of PCM (Sony changed the specification to PCM at their suggestion). If it had gone on sale with FM sound, would it have looked like this? スーパーファミコンは、元々はPCM音源ではなくFM音源を積む予定だったらしい(ソニーの提案でPCMに仕様変更した) もしFM音源のまま発売に漕ぎ着けていたらこんな感じだったのか？

FM synth was already fairly popular in the PC space it's always puzzled me that Japanese devs had an easier time with quality Genesis sound while western devs came up with GEMS

F-Zero cars on a Super Monaco GP course. That's a megadrive rom hack that would feel weird.... The idea of F-Zero music on a Sega console is cool to hear though. Awesome!
