The only label I ever want on myself is the label of "Christian".
I'm a (future) fursuiter!
I am sinful, yet saved by the grace of God.
I am free, yet not I but through Christ in me.
I belong to the Lord; I am not my own.
I am a Baptist Christian. This channel will be a whole lot of... what I want to upload, really. But know it will always be done with Christ at the center of my approach, and my life.
Soli Deo Gloria.

I'm like super conservative independent fundamental baptist and still a furry
I'd just like everyone to know that the Holy Trinity does have a fursona(s) 1. God is the Liom of Juda 2. Jesus is the sacrificial lamb 3. Holy Spirit is the Dove of peace In conclusion God is a furry and wants us to be in a sheep/shepherder relationship
@jackalenterprisesofohio I think that this is reaching a bit far. When God is described with animal imagery in the Bible it's just that - imagery and not meant to be taken 100% literally
@SolfegeSilver its a joke....I'm not putting _that much faith_ into it
It is sorta like saying being autistic is sinful but it depends on what you do and what you are hyperfixated in and why you have that hyperfixation
As both a furry and Christian, I don’t see it as a problem. It’s like being a fan of any media franchise (Star Wars, marvel, pokemon, anime). Of course there’s definitely a nsfw side, which is probably the most problematic part, but most furs are respectful and you can often train the algorithms that you don’t want that. Plus accidentally stumbling upon it isn’t a sin, but doing anything with that other than scrolling past or asking the site to not recommend it could be. And like you said, keeping God first. Just like any other hobby. And keeping within the guidelines of whatever branch of Christianity or other religion you follow. Maybe you don’t go to furry events on the Sabbath, or you avoid drinking or spaces with lots of alcohol in the fandom. My local group goes drinking occasionally and I just sit those activities out, and they’re really respectful of it. And last thing that I feel like I shouldn’t have to say, but will anyways, don’t be any -phobic. Don’t try to “fix” or even be judgmental towards the LGBTQ members of the fandom. They’re just doing their best with what they know, trying to be happy with who they are. It’s unfortunately something I see with any and every denomination I’ve come across, including my own. Just remember He would love first.
No.
Where do you guys find the confidence in living your entire life devoted to a deity that has gaslighted billions into believing that he is ultra loving and forgiving and knows everything and thus could turn anyone into a god loving great person with a flick of his wrist but at the same time has no real tribulations with sending his little toybox people into irrevocable inescapable torture rape pain and demon pit for all of eternity over like yiff and liking men . he just kinda sounds like an abusive parent with way too much power
hey i got a video suggestion for you, its about something that kinda made me mad especially as a Christian
@@republic580 What's the suggestion?
I've heard from someone that those characters abominate the image of God in which we were created, and that really convicted me, is this true?
The first question I'd ask is how. Where in scripture does it say that? That's a genuine question; not one intended to skew you one way or the other. I would say no. Having a furry character and pretending to be them is no worse than actors who play certain roles. But if it's convicted you, don't let my thoughts be the end-all and be-all. Go to God. :)
@@SolfegeSilver yeah he didnt really explain how, i remember he saying stuff like "God made the humans to reign over all animals" like it says on Genesis "and your mixing both" when i started out at this i wanted to make sure that i wouldnt miss the mark, because im very afraid of sinning, so much i dont even like fursuits, i only have interest on the characters.
First things first, we've ALL sinned and fallen short of God's glory. Being scared of sin will not change the fact that you and I have already sinned numerous times. That's why Jesus died. He paid the penality for ALL sin, on the cross, for those that put their faith and trust in him. I will not try to sway you to liking or detesting fursuits. That is entirely up to you! But do remember that Jesus has already paid the debt of sin in full. It is simply a matter of trusting and believing in him.
@@SolfegeSilver i know, jesus paid our debt, i even spread his gospel sometimes, i've already spreaded it to my class, like with my friends mostly, and some started to care more about God, one even started to read the bible because of it, i also enjoy helping christians online that are having difficulties with their walk with God, but i know that im gonna be forever a sinner, and that i still need jesus, i need his mercy
but still, i fear sinning, i must be aware of sin, im gonna try praying to God about it
AMAZING VIDEO!!! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! As someone who loves giving characters lore, I’m HUGE on this!
What about fat furry and fat furry arts ?
I’m a Christian and when I see furrys all I see is a hobby I’m a furry but what is a sin is homosexuality but I don’t judge and if you are gay I’ll be happy for you and glad your enjoying life
It is sad that we cannot trust our fellow brothers and sisters in christ because we dont know when they would do or say something like what redeemed zoomer says
Why are Christians fixated on The Ten Commandments? If you are a Christian, then you should know that Hesus fulfilled The Old Testament and gave us the new commandment to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. He also died for all your sins. Maybe it is time to stop living in The Old Testament with "Eye for an Eye" and start living in The New Testament starting with The Sermon on the Mount.
Hi, friend! So our first command as Christians is to love God. And it is said multiple times in scripture that love for God means obeying his commandments. That's why his commandments are still important!
The Ten Commandments were not done away with, those are still important, but the eye-for-an-eye, which was part of the law of Moses was (this also included a lot of the original ritualistic things, like animal sacrifice). That was the old law that Christ fulfilled. I try my best to live the “judge others not, lest ye be judged,” and to follow his example of not putting down others, including the “worst” in society, but helping them. Following the two great commandments, which encompass all the ten, loving God and loving your neighbor.
Well reasoned and, dare I say, based. Then again, even if it isn’t inherently sinful you do have to be very discerning about if it’s permissible for you individually. Like how being a fan of horror movies isn’t inherently sinful but for a lot of people it’s probably a bad idea.
This is my view essentially. Excercise discernment
Simple answer : ,,No, its not a sin"
There’s also two types of sin, Mortal and Venial. Venial sins are washed away at the beginning of mass Mortal sins require penance and reconciliation This is what I have learned as a Catholic.
On the Narnia thing, about 22:45 into his video on why the rapture isn’t biblical, he referred to C.S Lewis as “too creative for his own good”, possibly referring to the animals
Hollleeeee shit. 😂 so glad I’m Orthodox Christian. By all means, preach Gospel at the next drug-fueled, booty-popping furry convention. Peace yung jit!
5:35 "...what God was doing there is sinful [according to the Scripture]" Disagree. The God exists and operates outside these rules and cannot be judged by them. 8:00 (you citing C.W. Lewis as an example) Yes, I agree that as long as this hobby does not push you towards something sinful, there is no harm in practicing it. 10:40 Yes, that is wrong. 11:20 Yes, it seems clear to me that our brother in Christ, RZ, has let his anger get better of him here and made a bad decision. We should do our best to make him change his mind and retract his sweeping statement, because he is a very popular scholar of the scripture and him condemning ALL furies will inevitably push some part of them away from faith for no good reason.
You can be a bromy, furry any type of fandom your in you CAN be christian however you cant look at r34 its a sin (im a catholic btw)
sin = sqrt(1 - cos^2(x))
LOL
I think looking at how Judaism traditionally conceived of the afterlife is helpful in this conversation. Centuries of simplifying Christianity to ease communication to medieval peasants has turned the afterlife into a naughty/nice thing in the public image, which is part of the truth but far from the whole truth. In Judaism, hell (or the closest analogue thereof) was conceived as a time period, more than a location. If you failed to follow the teachings of God properly in life, you would be taught them in death. It would not be a pleasant experience, but it would be a finite experience, and when you were spiritually ready for heaven, you would go there. The sacrifice of Jesus changed the stakes somewhat, created essentially a fast-track to heaven by making spiritual readiness achievable on Earth, but that function of hell still remains true. Once a hellbound soul is ready for heaven, because it has truly embraced God and atoned for all of its failures in life, however difficult they may be to atone for, it will go to heaven. As you say, everything is possible through God.
Oohhh, so that's where the Catholics got purgatory?
Well in fairness, the majority of Christians are bad at following Christianity. You should think that's true regardless of your denomination, because every denomination is a minority of Christians, and only one of them can be right. So you can absolutely be a furry Christian, as long as you're not interested in being correct. The "God did it so I can do it" argument doesn't hold water. God did a lot of things that are explicitly sinful when a human attempts to do them. Both the story of Eden and the story of the Tower of Babel pretty explicitly lay out the sinfulness of attempting to be or do what God is or does, and the flood and the plague would both break God's commandments if a human did them. God does talking animals, Lucifer does talking animals, humans are probably best off not doing talking animals. I also don't see the logic in "blurring the lines between man and woman is bad, but blurring the lines between man and beast is fine". Women are closer to men than animals are. If you believe the Genesis account, Women are made from men. If breaking the line between man and woman is bad, then breaking the much greater line between human and animal must also be bad. As for furry demographics - only 5% of people in the survey you use here actually said they didn't want a fursuit. So even if owning a fursuit is where being a furry becomes sinful, and I'm not convinced it is, it's nowhere close to a majority of furries who aren't interested in that sin. CS Lewis I don't think it makes sense to call a furry, because part of being a furry is self-identity. It's that active choice to look at the furry community and say "yes, I belong here". Most people who use talking animals as literary devices, or who enjoy a movie like Zootopia, aren't making that a core part of what they believe themselves to be, the same way that an atheist doesn't become a Christian just by enjoying a movie about Revelations or by liking a "biblically accurate angel" meme. It's naming yourself a furry, taking on that identity, where it really starts to bring into question your dedication to your faith.
Really good points. Also let me clarify - I don't think we should go around calling CS Lewis a furry! That's a pretty meaningless label imo. All I'm saying is that if we use the loosest definition of what a furry is (which is not defined by RZ) then CS Lewis does at least vaguely fit that bill. But I don't want that being used for grounds to throw the "furry" label on CS Lewis.
As with many other topics related to one’s identity, the issue of furry fandom can be confusing and difficult to pin down. While there is nothing wrong with liking a particular character, dressing up in a costume, or engaging in the performing arts, immersion in furry culture, as commonly expressed, is not in line with God’s creative purposes for humanity. The Bible does not use the term *furry,* but it does clearly teach us about *identity* and how we are to relate to other people. The Bible teaches that the core of one’s identity is as a *human* male or female, created *in God’s image* and after His likeness (Genesis 1:26-27). Rather than seek to escape reality, we should embrace truth. Our identity is not to be found in furry fandom or animal fantasies, but in Christ (Galatians 2:20). Our sense of belonging should come from the *fellowship of the Spirit* within the church, not from furry conventions or “conFURances“ (Romans 12:5). A Christian, then, should view furries as people who need the love and grace of God. Furries are not animals but humans made in God’s image. A Christian should point furries to the grace of Jesus just as they would with anyone else lost in sin or confused by this world’s ideas. Christians should be bold in speaking truth about what is right and wrong, appropriate and inappropriate. But Christians are also to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15) and set love as the motivating factor in all that we do in interacting with others (1 Corinthians 16:14). That being said, there are some things to consider as a Christian who might be interested in participating. 1. Our Identity in Christ The Bible teaches that a Christian’s primary identity should be found in Christ, not in any external subculture. Galatians 2:20 says, "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me." By focusing on a persona that is not aligned with the image of God, which is reflected in our human identity, a person might be misplacing their core identity. 2. Imago Dei (Image of God) Genesis 1:27 teaches that humans are made in the image of God: "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." Embracing animal characteristics or personas could be seen as diminishing the unique dignity and honor of being created in God's image. 3. Avoiding Worldly Behaviors Romans 12:2 advises, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Christians are called to separate themselves from practices or subcultures that might distract or divert attention from living a Christ-centered life. 4. Stewardship of Our Bodies 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. Engaging in behaviors that distort or obscure our God-given human form could be viewed as failing to respect that our bodies belong to God and should be used for His glory. 5. Modesty and Purity Ephesians 5:3 states, "But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people." The furry subculture has, in some instances, been linked to inappropriate content or behavior that may violate Christian standards of purity. Even if someone does not engage in this aspect, aligning with a community that promotes it can damage their witness. 6. Focus on Holiness 1 Peter 1:15-16 calls Christians to live holy lives: "But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: 'Be holy, because I am holy.'" Christians are encouraged to pursue lifestyles that reflect God’s holiness, and participation in a subculture that may involve confusion about identity, gender, or moral boundaries can hinder this pursuit.

so is it a sin or not?
If u're gay, furry u can't be Christian. Bro I'm atheist Do u really want me to defense Christianity?
Good take brother! You definitely handled this quite well. It should also be noted that Jesus has been likened with both a Lion and a Lamb as well. And of course, there is the story of Balaam's Donkey!
Hello Solfege nice video i was looking for a video like this I've been a Christian for years and 2024 is my first year joining the furry community but im not part of the fandom but i like the creative of the suits is cool but my fursona is not my idol. I only worship God only He's amazing and thank you so much for the video it help me. I can still use some advice. Im not sure if i should call myself a furry or not? because I don't know lol but as long as i have God in my heart and following His commandments and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ that's what I want for others to hear about the Lord.
It's a matter of discernment. I don't think it's a sin to call yourself a furry any more than it is to call yourself a cosplayer, hockey fan, gamer, etc. But you have to be careful to not let that override/trump your identity in Christ.
Amen
Zoomer's videos are amazing, underrated, pretty much quality content, he is very smart. but I can't help but say he's kinda... ignorant sometimes. Like "I'm gonna ban all anime icon users from my server, because anime is absolutely satanic! Source: the voices in my head"... literally I won't stop watching his videos, but I guess he could be open minded sometimes.
I'm sure the Japanese appreciate their cultural export being called satanic. That'll show em! They'll be converting over in droves I tell you.
He’s also still in college but I don’t think he’s likely to change his view on furries
I wore cat ears headphones last week. going to hell fr
Don't joke about hell though. It's quite serious
@SolfegeSilver sorry, my humour is kinda acid.
@@SolfegeSilver Even the most serious things can be the subject of humour. Humour forms the very core of our culture, it's the one thing that transcends linguistic and religious divides. After free will, I'd argue humour is God's greatest gift to mankind, something that lets us enjoy ourselves even in the face of the most extreme tribulations. If God didn't want us to sometimes laugh at hell, he wouldn't have given us the capacity for morbid humour.
well I think there should be a reason why someone who is a Christian is a furry, if it is a fattish then that's completely wrong because that's lust of animal looking figures. If it's for fun, maybe but there is a big question of why and what is the point? No seriously I am genuinely curious, is it fun?
It is fun! I can't speak for other fursuiters but it's a genuinely fun thing to do. Basically imagine what the person who plays Mickey Mouse at Disneyworld does - you can do that pretty much anytime you want! It's fun to play a character and make people happy haha
