I sort of second guessed the herb logic for a sec in RE3R. The part where Carlos is talking to Mikhail about his injury and starts spraying him with a first aid spray. He says: "Shit Captain. They really took a chunk out of you." Making me think the zombies clawed or torn a bit of flesh from him in some way while allowing him to be okay thanks to the wonders of a first aid spray which have herb ingredients in the mix. However it was not a bite it seems.

@@clarkenshi2683 If not the Herbs - then the main characters could be apart of the 10% that have immunity. If I'm not mistaken, the sewer water in RE2 was contaminated, yet Leon avoided infection through exposure (despite having a bullet wound that the water would've been able to seep into.) Could be overanalyzing on my part, though it comes from my personal distaste for the idea the main characters miraculously got out completely unscathed.

@@w0ltz976 Yeah I see where you're coming from. It makes sense because the rats in the city spread it through the water supply which caused the outbreak. It kind of makes no sense seeing that Leon with that bullet wound walked through the sewers and was okay like you said. Guess it's the plot armor or the Resident Evil protagonist effect as an alternative.

Sadly that affect does not apply to Ethan Winters in his games.

Exactly, freaking love that part. Since the first teaser of the game it's felt like the main theme of RE4R, the theme of change not only in a meta way but in a redemption type of way too. It's really well executed.

I actually lean towards RE4R but Village I still love. I think RE4R is my favorite so far, the gameplay and story improvements are great. As for RE8, well I think Village feels very unique and maybe is my favorite story including REVII as it's connected to it. So the whole interconnected plot of REVII and REVIII is up there as one of my favorites in the series. Also the finale of Village is one of if not the best in the series. It's insane in the best way. Here's hoping for RE9 to launch later next year, it might be the biggest Resident Evil game they're making.

@@Bextiyaroff6 I'll say the RE Engine has some of the best high quality, high fidelity games I've played. Village still holds up to later games. The character models, facial animations, and environments. It's great.

I think it's good but nothing super spectacular like Marvel's Spider-Man 2 or Cyberpunk 2077. It's basic but kind of good. It's probably more of how you look at the world. I will say I had some slight creativity with RE4R and it's photo mode.

I will say you can do probably way more with it on PC with the RE Framework Mod. I'm able to move the camera around a bit more, actually a lot more. It's awesome. That mod really helps a lot with photo mode. I had some great shots there. As for console not as much.

Third person is pretty good, first person would be slightly better if they had an FOV slider in the options.

Well, the moment when you're not scared of the Xenomorph could be right towards the end of the game depending on the playthrough or tolerance of the AI. You do start to get accustomed to the AI but on higher difficulties it is relentless with it's pursuit of the player. Venting and dropping down in a small time frame is anxiety inducing when getting from point A to point B. If you do want the more unpredictable Alien Isolation experience then there's "The Unpredictable Alien" mod you could try. Still, respectfully agree to disagree.

That's a good way to go about it actually. Yeah the events did happen but it's our own canon of how they went. Now looking at it there's no official word on it from Capcom so this is the best alternative perspective.

Yeah, it's fine. I think it's the Axel part with the "do this" and "do that" stuff. Everything else is cool, it's like the original film with the slow burn build up.

I think I wanted to play it since 2021 when I seen a few favorite folks on here playing it. Later it was sort of a combination of: wanting to see what the praise was all about and the recent hype of the remake. Aside from all of that I really feel like playing the original first was the best move, remake or no remake. It's a horrifically beautiful game. It's also nice to know this game means a lot to you and many others. It is truly an amazing experience. I'm not sure if there'll ever be a game on this specific level of horror to deeply affect my mind and soul the way Silent Hill 2 performed. Not sure if you'll play the remake if you haven't already but if you do here's hoping you'll like it if not love it. It seems like Team Bloober got it right and everyone loves it.

Thank you. Alien is a such an amazing film that was influential. A world changing film, the sequel Aliens too. Alien Isolation is right up there for horror games as well. Really hoping the sequel they recently confirmed surpasses the original potentially if not appear on the same level. Thank you for the sub and kind words.

That's a great accident, then again a wise fictional tortoise did say "There are no accidents". Also thank you. It means a lot seriously. Resident Evil is killing it as of recent and it's my secondary favorite series. It's incredible. Here's hoping we get Resident Evil 9 eventually.

Some are probably purist or die hard fans who dislike the story changes maybe. Some are also tired of the multiverse stuff being thrown around recently. However it's my GOTY still, it's absolutely amazing.

It's really a fun game, it's just remake wise it's really lacking. That's the main reason why they hate on it. For good reasoning because the original is really great that was highly re-playable with the different scenarios you can activate. Like Nemesis would have different events, same thing with other characters. If I ignore the remake quality of the game, it's great. Nemesis was amazing for that first two hour portion of the game as well. I think it's a cool game to boot up every now and then. Glad you're able to ignore the negatives and enjoy it.
