Could have used a bit of practice on all of these. I only tried them once each and it shows. Lol

While listening and adding my weather information today 22032 . I realized a lot of people watch the radar when it comes to local weather. Here is the skinny on the weather radar feed. Jay County sets 6000 ft below the attack angle of the radar antennas for the NWS in Indiana. The feed is also 3-5 minutes behind real for our area. So even though you may see a weather phenomenon on the radar image it may not actually be impacting the area at that time. As everyone is well aware boots on the ground is a much more reliable form of information. There are other forms of technology that would help with the lack of trained and active SkyWarn spotters however, they have a hefty price tag. For example an X band portable weather radar start out at around 122000 dollars. Then you calculate optimal location to install such a system ( southwest corner of the county being of the most benefit for incoming severe weather normally ) as well as operational costs. You also have to get a County as a whole to understand they are much more than just the county seat or an individual community. A County is a community no matter where you are located within it. Well enough for me being up on my soapbox. 73s and enjoy the rest of whatever you may be doing.

Wish I could monitor myself a little better. Can barely hear myself in the headphones and even then I don't have the mix right. When I do these with a production program I can hear myself and it sounds a while lot better. I've had problems doing karaoke live on UA-cam. Might eventually get it right.

That was the first test. It didn't work properly at first. Figured out the problem and it seems to be working okay now.

Not working too well tonight. Kept getting a message that the connection was unstable. Guess it was. Possible interference from the radio into the router. May have to run a direct connection.
