Thank you! I fully agree with you on that. No new car today will last this long. They are not intended to in my opinion. In 10 years when one of the computers fail that runs something simple like the digital screens there will be no replacement and no real good way around it so the vehicle will be pretty useless.

I have to deal with it in my real job often and things are not looking good for the future of new cars. Don’t get me wrong I own them and like some of them but I am fully aware of what’s coming.

Right. Why i have an 84 c10 my wife inherited from her grandfather and my 71 delta 88 royale convertible. We work from home and have 2 newer cars but will never get rid of these 2. 4 cars in yard crank and run. 3 paid for

This serpentine system is a dirty dingo high mount ac compressor and Olson custom works alternator/power steering bracket. I don’t know the belt size of the top of my head. But every set up is going to be different depending on your alternator, ac compressor, pulley combo.

They are American racing vn510 18x10 5.5” backspacing all the way around.

No it does not. Was supposed to be a joke. It’s just your normal lowes spray paint.

They drive pretty good with rebuilt front ends. That is how I drove this truck for the first two years. Drove pretty good until the steering box started to get loose. Our 91 suburban has a rebuilt front end and a Jeep xj steering shaft. Pretty much drives like new.

The wheels are 17x10 front and back and the tires are 275/35/17

@@D.R.Speed_and_performance thanks , I like the style , they look good. You made comment saying they look a lil small , do you wish you would have went with and 18 or 20? I am trying to decide for my truck. That’s the style I like but wonder what size I should do.

@@andrewpate9157 thank you! I like them a lot. The problem I ran into was finding a suitable tire for what I plan to do with the truck in a price range I could afford. There are not that many sizes to pick from in an autocross focused tire. Next time I will buy a 275/40/17 little bit more sidewall. I have a 2.73:1 rear gear for now and did not want a larger od tire to make the truck any more less powerful than it currently is. That was also a consideration in the sizing

Oh I see, thanks that helps. I have a 276 gear for now. I am curious to see how that gear does with 5.3 4L60 cause I really am not ready to change it just yet. Just really need to get it running and driving for now. Would love to get into auto cross at some point but no clue if I ever will and know nothing about it.

@@andrewpate9157 same set up I have. My engine is stock other than headers and 3” exhaust and it has plenty of power to spin the tire and be sporty if your on the throttle. With my short tires 26” tall it would still cruise down the highway at 75-80 no sweat. Only like 2k ish rpm.

It was a joke. It does have about 200k miles on it though.

It’s the factory ecm from a 2001 Chevy truck. I deleted the vats with Hptuners’s. It’s a factory harness that has been reworked to remove all the stuff we didn’t need.
