UT 2004 is my second favorite game of all videogames. My favorite is Unreal 2. In terms of gameplay UT2004 is my favorite game.

i started on 99...i love UT4....i dont like the looks and movement of this version at all

I hated the lightning gun in place of the sniper rifle but this was an enjoyable game. I didn't like it as much as I liked UT 99 GOTY or even 2003 but i had plenty of fun playing it. Most modern shooters just aren't appealing to me. Sometimes you just need to come home from a long day and headshot some bots.

I fired this game literally week ago after years of not touching it. It aged so well and is still so nice to play. Only problem it had is enemy model visibility. Outside of that still has amazing gameplay.

Never played 2004, the fact that they removed 2003 announcer was deal breaker for me. I sticked to 2003.

UT99 and UT2k4 are two of the games I have a history with.

Still the best multiplayer shooter ever made. Played as a kid and still playing now! The "Masterful" difficulty is a perfect blend of skill and BS in my personal experience. Any bot difficulty above that and they are legit cheating at the game with their skills.

How do you make those smooth strafe jumps? I know you can double tap a movement key, but every time I try to use them I need to pause the movement I am currently doing, so I feel slower, not faster. Any tips?

Don't feel bad about dying to bits. UT a.i. was ahead of its time. The boys learn your patterns and anticipate your moves.

Thank you for the video, it's so good to see that people are still so passionate about this game! General question for everybody and I know that this can be a touchy subject, but how can you say if someone is cheating when playing online? I play deathmatch online from time to time and it feels ridiculous how some people can kill you with just a few minigun bullets or how they can anticipate your location. I mean, I'm no pro and I've seen some pros play and even they can't do that

Finally someone who know how to do a strafe jump and has proper movement. This game was my childhood and sadly was to young to play in the ESL here in Germany because you had to be 18 (i was 15)

its a great game altho I feel like the classic ut99 and unreal have more atmosphere due to better sound design. but this has good gameplay and innovative maps
