Great video, i was thinking of watching this show, but now i know i wont like it. Thanks for saving me the time. 😊
Hey man, keep up this quality of work!! I’m blown away by your videos and attention to detail
Thank goodness I'm not the only one
Possibly the worst written characters I've ever seen
THANK YOU. This is the cringiest show on television.
In the end Yellowstone started to suck mainly because of two things. Beth never got what was coming for her (fact she ant dead, in jail or kicked out is surprising enough as it is. Girl need to be interned in an insane asylum) and the family’s hypocrisy/grand standing. When in reality all they are are a bunch of wannabe criminals that are criminals because they don’t know how to ranch without committing crime because they’re so fucking petty. There a reason why the spinoffs are more liked.
The other shows you can and probably will die in or atleast face consequences for your actions or lack there of In Yellowstone. Their all Mary sues. Shity ones to boot
All I know is I’m treated differently around town now that I walk with a toothpick hanging out of my mouth.
Another week , another 1st view
Love it!
I can definitely see your points here. This show had some real potential up until about season three. They definitely screwed up Beth’s character. She could’ve been awesome had they written her better, smarter. I didn’t like how they wrote Jamie’s character either. I thought the show was done after season three. I do suspect that Sheridan has too many irons in the fire at this point.
Just binge watched all seasons So many plot holes and convenient , shit story telling Why do ALL enemies in this show always confront each other and threaten them?? Has a few pros but if your into good acting , writing and directing go watch something else
Never watched it but it seems boring asf BUT it makes me want a red dead redemption adaptation for all three of the games ( yes undead nightmare too )
Idk, I think a lot more people see it as a soap opera with cowboys than you give it credit for. There's obviously a lot of old people who like that it's people they grew up watching yelling at the kiddos, because it plays into a fantasy of the American mythos that you can't really find anywhere else anymore, but the biggest selling point is that it has the intoxicating, trashy energy of something like Days of our Lives with above-average acting and a Breaking Bad budget. There's women who love Beth Dutton because they idealize toxic relationships, but she's also an extremely fun 'horrible bitch' character to watch self-destruct (though I wish there was *some* development). Rip I can't really justify because he's the boomer simp archetype 40 year old women fantasize about, but John Dutton is a compelling old bastard land baron who has understandable motivations and a values system that doesn't really get explored by Hollywood. The show has dropped in quality over it's run, and ruined Montana unfortunately, but it's fun soapy cowboy content and real pretty to look at. Plus I genuinely think the 1923 spinoff rocks. Also, as a note, however evil John Dutton is, Blackrock/Land Development corporations are 10000x worse. While the native issues/environmental issues are just conservative boogeymen that sell in the chosen market well, they're always second fiddle to the anti-Blackrock message, which I think it's why people root for the show so easily overall. Private Equity is literally the perfect villain, in fiction and real life, so I actually appreciate the show for that.
I rooted for Walter😔
Kinda like that Hell on Wheels show I heard called "Deadwood for Dummies", it's the underpants gnome business model. They want to write an acclaimed show, but they have no idea how.
These are not characters who should be respected or emulated in any way
@12:00 "... it's handled with such respect and intelligence..." bloke in the mirror wearing an "I owned Slaves" tshirt. 😂😂 Was that really the best timing to bring your point home? 😂 Now, in all fairnrss, I've never seen any of these shows, so I know nothing about the context of that scene.
Agree its tedious to watch Tulsa king is another shitshow
His movies are So fucking good. Yellowstone could be special 1883 is good I really like it same as 1923
thank you brother for preaching the truth
Thank you. Yellowstone was a good watch but it's about bad people. My review of the series is as follows. A Montana crime family struggles to save their ecologically unsustainable cow ranch by random violence including murdering their own workers. The patriarch of the family manages to get elected governor and uses his power for personal gain. As the series ends, the family has to sell their newly acquired dancing horses that for some reason are worth several million dollars. Someone finally kills the patriarch and the ranch is given back to the indigenous people who dismantle it and give a long needed break to the land that was damaged by the cow operation. Yellowstone is the Montana Sopranos.
Thanks for watching this trash 🗑️ so I didn’t have to 🤣. I’ve watched a few scenes and thought,”what’s the big deal?” 🤷♂️
Never watched Yellowstone but I felt this way about the HBO show “Oz”. A friend of mine had described it as “The Wire in prison”. So I went in with high expectations and got a cartoon show with over the top caricatures of convicts, guards with very weakly fleshed out character development, and an overly left leaning sympathetic view of REhaBiLiTAtiON in the prison system. Show sucked and should’ve never been mentioned alongside a show like The Wire.
You need a haircut, long hair looks bad on you
Why is it shot so flatly ..Did they use slightly souped up DSLRs to shoot this show
Please do Sons of anarchy next
I did not watch this series to the end. Though entertaining at times I felt more and more uncomfortable and I guess I was waiting for the story to redeem itself for a while. The first point where I asked myself wtf is going on was when they took out the first guy to shoot at the canyon. We are to believe that they have used this place multiple times before, that there is some murder-canyon where they drop everyone in and no one has ever found anything. Likewise no one ever comes looking for the people nonchelantly murdered in this series. Nah I tapped out and feel better for it.
Hooooly shit i did NOT expect to see 'Hot Koolaid' in this day and age o_o
I couldn’t get through the first episode of this bullshit. Thank you for saying something.
I was on the Yellowstone subreddit, and they all heavily criticize the show and were massively disappointed in the ending. Anyways, a few months ago, I asked the question “Who’s smarter, Beth Dutton or Walter White?” And everyone was like “Walter White” except for one person. This is what they said: “Our Queen is smarter. 👑 I have only seen parts of Breaking Bad but Beth is shown to be a business genius and she also can attack anyone and everyone. She sets a great example for girls and ladies to aspire to. We need more feminists like this on TV.” And I cringed so hard seeing that, like what the actual fuck?! Besides, their Reddit name was BethSlays.
The problem is that Castlevania was style AND substance. Nocturne has style without substance. The original had solid character writing, with solid character arcs, and multiple heroes we could root for. We were never given a reason to care about Richter other than that he's a sad boy. Orloch was a pretty good villain, but he was let down by a lackluster leading cast. Glad you could find enjoyment, because Nocturne felt like a slap in the face to me.
I definitely think there’s something to that, I liked Richter personally though. The others were definitely not as compelling as Sypha and Alucard
this is a show I just could not watch. First, Costner is just useless as an actor. Always has been. Second, the entire premise is hysterically stupid. the only other show I can think of that has the same "we're all morons" feel is Friends...
Roland "Prez" Pryzbylewski from Wire season 4 feels natural as a teacher when he faces uninviting mentality from students whereas Monica is just a straight up monologue lecturing the audience that doesnt do anything for the students. She's talking to the audience(us) which is on the nose.
I live in a smaller town in Nebraska I pointed out a lot of things about how this show sucks and people got legit offended I didn’t like their little cowboy show
I don't reallly care, the fights look super cool. In fact, I don't think I remember the plot
Thank you for making this video, I feel seen.
I watched about 5 min on the advice of a friend. Mistake.
Beth was so annoying omg it was so cringe,,,then you hear woman going on like omg like she’s so strong like omg i did that at work aswell like because im just so strong and yeah ….. 🤮
It is literally a bad rip off of sons of anarchy with the literal sheriff from SoA.... Its so blatant and a pathetic bad copy with more appeal to mass audiences
My only gripe with this is listing Cersei Lannister as being a smart character. She's not
jaime in his car, watching beth walking. me: "DO IT!"
Hello from the algorithm
I haven't seen Yellowstone but I recently watched Landman, another Sheridan production. My wife liked it, but I found it pretty moronic with the only saving grace being Billy Bob Thornton's performance. It was pretty disappointing since I've liked Sheridan films I've seen. I'm not going to waste my time on the 2nd season.
sir i absolutely root for Mr. Walter white lol
margin call is great
really underrated
‘Yellowstone’ is a BAD soap opera about self-righteous criminals pretending to be ranchers. At least ‘Dallas’ didn’t pretend to be based on some deviant reality. The last ‘good’ Dutton was James. ‘The English Patient’ 🤮
Never seen ET, Close Encouters if the 3rd Kind, any Harry Potter tripe, Game of Thrones tripe, Walking Dead nihilistic tripe, MCU tripe, DCU tripe, Peacky Blinders, M She U excrement, Narcos, all soaps. In fact TV & ilm.
Thank you! Christ I couldn’t get past season 2. TOO CONTRIVED
As someone who has gotten this show recommended to them specifically because I thoroughly enjoy a good character study, I'm glad I have never watched this.
Jimmy is the best part of the show
Thanks for this. I went into nocturne as a history buff for the time period and a big fan of the original. Obviously I was disappointed I was left to wonder what people even liked in this season at all. I came in expecting solid character writing and correct historical flare, so obviously this was not for me. But im glad others could find enjoyment where I could not. I dislike Nocturne while you loved it, So I appreciate the insight into your viewpoint, and I at least see why people like the season now
Fair enough, we all have subjects that we just can’t suspend disbelief for and that’s totally okay. I didn’t even consider how the show is from a historical standpoint. It goes to show how many aspects there can be praise/criticize about a piece of media
