**at that point in time, i was focussing more on solve quality as compared to video quality - hence the megaminx wasn't always fully in frame when i was solving. however i didn't want to do something uncomfortable (like solving over the table all the time) just so that i could get a good video as the solving quality might also have been compromised.
with that out of the way, i just wanna say thank you to everyone who made the trip to KL so successful and enjoyable! it was very fun cubing together with the same ppl for 4 days straight, and meeting fast speedcubers from all over the world. thank you to everyone who was rooting for me and who congratulated me after this average - it means a lot! it was nice meeting everyone and i def had a great time at my first ever asian championship. results wise i could've done better, but I'm very satisfied with my performance overall, especially considering it's my first major championship.
i was super nervous during this average, especially after the 46 (where i messed up pll on an already bad solve), but im happy it ended well! i was aiming for a 35 or 36 average, but after the first two solves i got excited as i knew this average had PR potential. i missed sub 34 by a hair and the asian podium by one place, but honestly feeling sad about that is pretty ridiculous cause there's a pretty large gap -- and i would never have ever dreamed of even coming close to top 3 asians at this comp.
