    Do you have a link for the carbineer parts you are using for the bridle hooks? I think mine are pins. I had a hard time hooking in the forestay, and had to move the shroud pins up to get enough slack to hook the forestay. Seems like that would be easier with the beeners rather than trying to get a clevis pin and ring in. Also comment on what ring from top or bottom you are attaching for forestay, bridle hooks and the side shrouds if you would. Tks!

    • @upnorthguy
      @upnorthguy 15 днів тому

      Hi! I don’t know where the bridle hooks came from, they were there when I bought it and per the prior owner they were an upgrade. It is definitely easier to attach the bridle with them. I think any similar size carabiner could work. Nothing special about the rings I am using, they are basic sailboat hardware.

    You used the wrong bolts that is why you needed to pile on washers. Also why not drill two extra holes on each pillars for the correct height to clear the cab and still low enough for garage fit? Seems like an easy task…

    • @upnorthguy
      @upnorthguy 24 дні тому

      The smaller bolts won't work with the cleats that's why I had to use the larger ones. I switch between the cleats and the rack on the same set of bolts. Good suggestion to lower the rack! Thanks!

      Thanks for reply! Mine only stays closed when it’s all the way closed. If I leave in another position it rolls back into the canister shortly into the drive (tried multiple adjustments) Customer service from Real Truck told me it’s not meant to be driven in the other positions which I thought was weird and couldn’t figure out why you would have them otherwise. Thanks for letting me know yours operates how I thought it should.

    As far as the bag, I think I'd take the nuts off from around that chute opening and see if I couldn't wrap some baling wire or something around those bolts, then re-install the nuts over it, forming the wire into some rounded hooks to help hold the bag without making holes in the bag. Either that or put some steel grommets in the bag end and use the hooks through those.

    Hmmm, I always just mulch up my leaves in the fall by mowing them repeatedly with the riding mower until they're shredded down fine enough to look like part of the soil. I do get a lot of brush and limbs in the yard about every time we have a good thunderstorm though. Might have to pick one of these up instead of having the big bonfire every fall from the brush pile.

It was distorted to the point of being unintelligible - something must have been screwy with your audio levels, and it was only playing from the right channel. Just finished installing one of these, glad they decided to add a middle height, so now 18/23/28 inches in height. For my Silverado, 23" is the perfect height, just clears the top of the cab and I can fold my Bakflip all the way to the back window. Only issue I had, was I used the thin seal on my Bakflip, which made re-installing it a little too tight, had to remove the seal(didn't have it in the first place). Also, another thing to note, since you're setting your Tonneau cover on top of the TS rails, like in my case, the tailgate seal on the Bakflip is not flush anymore, leaves about a 3/16" gap.. :( need find a way to seal that part..

    • @upnorthguy

    I too have a 2025r that I haul back and forth to my property in the U.P. Last year I was able to remove 9 stumps from around my cabin, a large rock from one of my trails, as well as keeping the lawn mowed and the trails smoothed. This year I'm hoping to restock my firewood supply. For a subcompact tractor, it has done everything I've asked it to. It hauls easy, has better ground clearance with the taller tires and the longer wheel base seems to be a benefit when pulling stuff.

    I don't understand the complaint of it taking up too much room. It's a tonneau and will limit your bed with the intent of covering it..... absolute definition of. Is there something that doesn't? Isn't this the best option for limiting the space a tonneau cover takes up? i e. a trifold or 1 piece

      A trifold comes completely out of the bed and gives you full access vs the roll up that has the box. Roll n Lock has the smallest box, but it still gets in the way from my experience. Thanks!

    Hey…just bought the same unit as you. What is it like towing this unit? Any challenges you have faced?

      Very easy to tow ! I am using an F150 truck so plenty of tow capacity. Only thing to note is it is wide and sometimes hard to see around the sides. Congrats! You will have fun with it !

      I also have a f150. So the extended mirrors not much help you say…hmm. Does the backup camera help?@@upnorthguy

      Your truck will be fine without extended mirrors , I don’t have them on mine. It’s just wider than other trailers I tow , so took a little getting used to. Backup camera is awesome, very helpful when driving when you need to change lanes. I have another video on my channel about it so check it out if interested!

      Yes would work well, the boom might be a little low, but it is soft! I have another video on my channel about sailing this boat for beginners so check that out ! Thanks!

    Thanks for the video! I was hoping you could answer a follow up question. Where did you get that nice black step you have attached on the left side of your tractor? Could really use one on ours 1:06

      The step came with my model when I got it new. It is a 2021 MY 2025R. I guess it was standard with my model as I didn’t order it as an option. Thanks for the comment!
