Being underbiked on a trail makes it way more fun. Put slicks on it and it'll make you 10x better in the long run ❤

I can only see one downside to this bike besides the price. Only room for 1 small bottle.

Thank for posting this! I'm heading down this week for 3 days of riding. Looking to do a day of flow trails, a day of janky "tecnar" and a day just doing a longer milage epic/XC ride. What do you recommend?

Whilst MTB bikes and trails didn't really exist back then, as a teen in the '80s, I would often ride my BMX through the local woods. With 20 inch wheels, simple Dia Compe sidepull brakes and a willingness to ride it through pretty much anything, I had lots of fun. But then I also rode my 10 speed drop bar 'racer' with 27x1.25 inch wheels, skinny tyres and sidepull brakes there too. Neither were good at it, but it's what we had, so we just rode them. We learned through trial and error. 😂

If you haven’t been to this area yet, GO! I tend to stay in Hendersonville, but that’s a very short drive from Brevard and just tends to have more options to stay that work for me. You got EVERYTHING you could want within a 30 minute drive.

Come there every year from TN for an epic week of MTB’ing with friends. Makes me sad in so many ways to not come this year.

I prefer the north east during this time. The Catskills, Vermont, New Hampshire, etc

I was up there last Saturday and had a great time then took 276 over Caesars Head the mountains always make me feel at home

Glad to know the town’s open - but are hiking/biking trails open? Waterfalls? Are the trails up around the waterfalls open? How about COE campground? I super happy about the town’s businesses being ok, but want to make sure the recreation is 100%.

We visited Brevard in early October, very nice. We were able to avoid much of the damage from Helene. Did see a Chinook land at a soccer field near the hospital, WOW! Will visit again!
