I made this film as my very first assignment in film school. For the course “experimental film”, taught by Jasper Rigole, we were all given a location within a 5-kilometer radius of Ghent. My location was near a Kayak rental place. I fell in love with the symmetry of the word and wanted to create a world with a kind of "palindrome logic". That's how KAYAK was born.
Later, this film had a premiere at Courts Mais Trash (2024) in Brussels. The most fun and entertaining festival I have ever been to.
