    I sent an image of te37 to my supplier in china. 2 days later we have a digital creation of the wheel. Month and a half later I have a 1 to 1 forged wheels fake but literally the same everything,forged and all even engraving on spokes. Could care less what people think

      Reason why reps are so obvious is because they do them in bulk….easy to get caught as I’m sure it’s illegal. On the other hand if they just make the one set then send them right to you…no problem

      Thats fine if you know it’s fake. But if you paid the money for legit wheels you’ll want it to be legit.

      @@leedfollow no for the fake forged wheels not at all. 1300 for full set. Only way you will know they’re fake is by stickers and looking at the inside hub and seeing there is no certifications within the Hub milling. 100 percent you will not know by just looking at face as it has all correct millings

    Hands at 9-3, keep hands on the wheel unless it really snaps or you reach the limit where your arms hit each other. Always look at your exit point and stare where you want the car to go, focus on the weight of the car and steer to keep it as stable as possible but use throttle to curl out from the apex to the exit point. Hopefully see you about at a few next year 🤟

    I drive GT86 myself and I've been on few track days and please correct me if I am wrong, but in my opinion it's too much opposite lock applied during loosing of rear end which in sudden gaining of grip caused shift of weight and then your mate just lost it. Another thing is position of hands on steering wheel. I know that shuffling steering wheel is easiest way to operate but actually keeping 9-3 position of hands on steering wheel helps a lot of controlling a car. And with good siting position, body straight and close enought to steering wheel you can reach 3/4 of a turn of steering wheel each way, so in most fast driving on track applications is enough. Also I know it's different car but what I found on mine 86 during loosing rear end is just letting go of my steering wheel slightly, slip through hands to kind of self centered itself and avoiding that sudden shift of weight which unsettle a car.

    • @leedfollow
      @leedfollow 13 днів тому

      Owning both I can confirm the 86 is far easier and more forgiving when the back end breaks loose. The RX8 is a lot more twitchy and can catch you by surprise if you’re not careful.

    This is really exciting. You're building what I've been daydreaming about. I can't wait to watch your progress. I have a couple thoughts though. You mention the need to do a brake upgrade. I know at least some of the BRZ's got the performance package, which provided Brembo brakes. I was wondering if that isn't suitable for your uses, or I guess curious to know more about your intentions regarding brakes. Also, with the need for an upgraded clutch I wonder how that will improve pedal feel. Having owned an FRS, I know it was on the lighter side. The right choice could make for a really nice clutch pedal feel. Can't wait to see what you pick. Looking forward to seeing what you get into, and I really appreciate the level of detail you are going into.

      Probably isn’t going to be a setting. The reverse switching is usually voltage controlled. Did you run the 12v feed from the back of the reverse light to the reverse trigger cable on the headunit? This is the issue that I had and I mentioned it in my video at the 8min mark. You need to supply 12v to the reverse trigger to tell the headunit you have put the car into reverse. Easiest way to do that is take power from the back of the reversing light.

    Love how people don't even know what a good sounding exhaust is... people also don't understand that catback systems are only meant for oem cats & manifold ... if you want to remove one of the two you need to add more resonators... ( especially on the VQ platform )

    Thanks. My engine has a bit of shudder, kinda feels like its moving a lot when I let go and go on the gas, especially when its cold. Ill try and see if this helps out. Also seems like Powerflex has updated their site, they also have one for the front mount (same part as the Lotus again).

    • @leedfollow

      Sure, as long as you have a method of reading files off USB with your iPad. I know they do lightning usb adapters. So I think you could use one of those to plug the glasses straight into your iPad.

    • @leedfollow
      @leedfollow 4 місяці тому

      @Fahnominal when these fail it will just cause an engine code and possibly you may lose some power. They don’t cause knocking (or at least i’ve never heard of them causing knocking and I don’t know how they possibly could). How come your oil is bad and sludgy? Dirty oil will deposit dirt in the oil control valves and ruin them, so important to keep the car serviced and the oil as clean as possible.

    If I’m running 18 9.5 rear and 18 8.5 front. Same tires front 255/35/18 turanza. It handed giid in the curbs but I’m getting my check engine and traction control light on in the dash. Also in the rain feels like it’s gona spind . Thinking just going back to Reg 18

    • @leedfollow
      @leedfollow 5 місяців тому

      I think your problem is the tyres, not their size. Instead of using an economy tyre like a Bridgestone Turanza, why not use a sports tyre like a Bridgestone Potenza, Goodyear Eagle F1 or a Michelin Pilot Sport? Also traction control light should never also cause an engine check light.

    Can't resist to nit pick. Most likely you over-torqued the bolts. Usually with click-style torque wrenches the force should be applied at the center of the grip handle. Closer you get to the pivot point the more torque will be applied for the wrench to click. But in this case + - 10% doesn't really matter.

    • @leedfollow
      @leedfollow 5 місяців тому

      Sorry I don't know, personally if you can go for the 3500, chances are you won't be anywhere near the weight limit of 2500 but it's nice to know you have a nice margin to play with

    • @fixityourself1111

      Cheers, emailed them and the differance is the rams are slightly different and the system uses hydraulic 32 oil over a lighter oil. Only niggle... I have discovered the postage is nearly £100 once the vat is added...kind of expensive as I deal with couriers often. I know they are heavy but you'd think for over a grand they would send them free. I was really ready to buy but the postage has removed my finger from the pay now button. Still thinking!!!

    Anybody looking to buy one, look under the frunk. Suspension tower corrosion happens.....but this car is really bad. Also the front subframe...... it's a weld-in a used one job. Pre-facelift were 975kg. Addition of safety features meant they get heavier.

      Cheers, yea was an early video for us . Two new things that seems to be popping up now is rust on kidney brackets and passenger door lock actuators, now and then passenger door won't unlock so have to do it from inside. You won't be disappointed but drive an auto and a manual and buy which you prefer, I think I'd use the car more if it was auto if I'm being honest!
