Thank you for the video it helps me to find bad coupler between fuel pump and electric motor fix it by myself $6 bucks
This is my house right now without the drips. Gate valve in house main failed and curb-stop failed. Why doesn’t the pipe burst like when house pipes freeze in winter?
Why not just turn the water off at the curb box.?
Good job 😊😊
What the hell was the point of this video? You showed us you know how to use an adjustable wrench, and that you could replace a nozzle. You explained nothing!
Is it possible that the pipe can burst from freezing it ?
No because it's not freezing everywhere. If it was all of the pipes and you closed the faucet then it could explode because the pressure can build up but if you leave a faucet open or if you're only freezing a little section of it then there's no area where water can get trapped. Since the water's pressurized it will just expand back the other way or expand out the faucet that's open. Now if you did this to the entire pipe all the way until the faucet then yeah there'd be nowhere for it to expand
@@pilotavery thanks , I’m going to try it out
Is he a professional or not he didn’t mark the pro press fitting when your supposed to
👍👍
Great job
Thanks for posting. I'm doing it tomorrow.
roto rooter want to charge me 3000$ for this job...wonder if this is a do it yourself project.
Just hire another company. Roto rotter will charge you per minute 😂
I can’t figure out how to get my oil furnace running. I checked the igniter cleaned it off good, changed the filter in the line before it gets to the furnace, replaced the igniter transformer cause it’s bad. Replaced the CAD cell last year! The filter right before the pump had a little grime but I cleaned it off and it looks pretty good. The relay was replaced last year. When you try to run the fan kicks on for about 40 seconds then it shuts down so it still seems it’s not getting flame. Does anyone have any suggestion? My motor for the fan turns very easily I saw in a video it said it should have a little resistance. Wish I knew what the issue was it’s getting colder here and we don’t have money to pay someone to fix it. Could it be the nozzle it was replaced last year? I’m not sure what else to even try.
What if the motor spins very easily like mine, it’s supposed to have a little resistance right?
Just bought one online got it today. Looking at the cold end I noticed it’s solid and doesn’t move I blew into it and no air passes. Is this normal? What’s the deal with the solid end? Thank you
Im looking at getting this unit and i have some questions for you
Good job
I have a tankless system, do i have to drain the sysem out before taking the cap off valve?
Thanks!
Thanks for posting this video. It is everything i needed to see. Great job.
nice job i want to be a plumber when i grow up only problem is i am grown up
Not sure what you were showing in this video except how to sweat a new valve in place? No explanations on the part? Did I miss something?
Not a DIY channel

hey good job bud was looking at getting one of these I noticed in the manual it says it won’t freeze/work with flowing water but clearly you did I know it’s only from one side but safe to say it will still work ?? Cheers
Thanks for the comment, your right that’s what the manual says. Small leak like that usually works, but if it something that’s flowing and I want to freeze, I will use a "Quick Sweat" Water Stopper or Jet Swet!
Also if you turn off every other valve you can’t obviously after the main shut off valve it will stop all water flow or at least make any flow down to very low level of water flow.
which freezing kit are you using in this video ?
COLD-SHOT by GENERAL PIPE CLEANERS
Excellent just wondering why you didn't ProPress the whole thing why sweat solder the other fitting
We had to reuse the existing meter unions that don’t come in press. Torch is already out to remove the elbows.
@@straightupplumbing 👍
Thank you for the video. Very helpful. I know now what to do. I’m just going to replace the internal parts of the mixing valve not the entire thing.👍🏾
how did the fix go? and where do i shut the water off at?
OK now i know what to do. I did have a question about taking the valve stem out before sodding. Now i know. Thanks
Dear why you don't show pressure testing port where you fix the connection. And setting nobe. I will appreciate good video..👌
How much should i charge for something like this ?
450
Hi, I just had someone come out to service my furnace when it would not turn on. They determined it was a bad fuel pump and replaced it with an A2VA-3006 like in your video. The bad fuel pump had a solenoid on it as my furnace is an EZ--1HPW. The A2VA-3006 they installed did no have a solenoid on it and he said he didn't need it and turned off the solenoid settings on my EZ-1HPW. Is this OK? I do not understand why they replaced it without a solenoid. What should I do? I ordered another A2VA-3006 with a solenoid. Can I install the solenoid on the replacement they installed without a solenoid easily, or can I replace the entire fuel pump myself? I do not have a fuel pressure gauge.
A short answer is. It’s fine. The solenoid is powered by 120 V that when the burner control shut the power down to the pump it immediately shuts fuel off to the gun nozzle, versus having the oil pump slow down with the burner causing unburnt fuel while it shuts off. But you cannot just add a solenoid to a fuel pump, it must be a clean cut pump. Sometimes installers will install what they have on the truck to get you by. But I don’t think it’s anything you should be too concerned about they’ve been running these oil pumps forever.
@@straightupplumbing Thank you sir. I called the repair man and he said he didn't install an A2VA-3006, he installed another non-solenoid pump and just reused the cover, which was my confusion. I was worried not having a solenoid would cause premature wear because my furnace specifically calls for the A2VA-3006 as a repair part. He turned off the solenoid setting on the burner and said everything will be fine. Thank you for answering because it validated what he said so I trust him. It was my first time having service done as I just bought my house. He charged $170 for the fuel pump replacement which I thought was fair.
Pretty kool gear!
Thanks Luis! We all love cool tools!!
Good job. Very helpful. Thank you.
why did you not flux or prep the inside of the new valve?
Not everything is caught on camera, but from 4:11 to 4:20 thats probably when I was fluxing the valve....
A poor man's way many years ago we would do it with dry ice wrapped in a towel we'd leave the basement faucet open when it started to trickle out we would start working and use a compression fitting by hand
Why r u mumbling ?? Speak up for God's sake !!!

Also I totally grasp that there are other videos I can watch and manuals I can read to learn for myself...go figure. Take care and be safe!
and which pro press tool are you using brand?
That one in the video is a Milwaukee m12
How many minutes did you have too let it sit before cutting the water line
Pipe size and pipe material change the amount of time. For 1” copper it’s about 10 min. Pex, black iron and copper all have different freeze times from 5 min to 20 min. There’s a manual that gives you times for each size and material
After 10 min you can cut it right away, doesn’t need to necessarily “sit”. After 10 min of freeze time for 1” copper you can cut it out right away
@@straightupplumbing cool thanks How about 2” or 3” water lines how long do those have too sit?
What about a lead line??
Why waste 4 minutes and 38 seconds of the viewer's time showing an uninstall of the old stuff?
Because someone asked for it, that’s why! Are you upset? We can’t tell?
Nice work but it’s not a diverter valve.
Thank you, there are many different terminology’s for a delta R10000 rough in valve, but the reason we chose to title it this way is because of search results. Many people referred to this valve as a diverter valve. www.lowes.com/pd/Delta-5-8-in-ID-PEX-x-5-8-in-OD-PEX-Brass-Diverter-Valve/1000195383?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-kab-_-google-_-lia-_-225-_-bathfaucets-_-1000195383-_-0&placeholder=null&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIkrDUlbK26wIVAobICh14QAWHEAQYASABEgLiYfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
Nice job
How do you know the pressure is set correctly if you don't measure draft, CO, O2, etc. for the selected nozzle?
Sorry not everything makes it in the videos, issues with videos being to dark, or forgetting to press record :/... but yes when pump replacement we do combustion analysis with smoke test.....
@@gattusoplumbing7639 didn't see the smoke tester or combustion analyzer.
I thought that was my house with all those meters lol
haha, hope they are labeled, not like these!!
That is pretty cool!
oh yeah, definitely a cool tool!
