Yamaha Xmax - how to remove the wheels, rear and front for cheaper tyre change - Part 1
In this video I will show you how to remove the wheels. Not all tyre shops will have time to take off and put back your wheels when you would change the tyres. Plus if you take them already removed from your bike/scooter to a tyre shop you will save money.
You will need some basic tools like sockets, some penetrating oil, maybe a hammer as in my case :) Nothing really complicated. Be careful to secure your scooter on a middle stand to avoid accident during the disassembly.
Good luck!

Transmission mount torque restrictor replacement - how to diagnose
Переглядів 1,4 тис.2 роки тому
In this video I am showing how I replaced the front transmission mount / torque restrictor on a 1999 Ford Mondeo St200. Same applies on several other Ford models like the standard V6 Mondeo mk2, Contour, Cougar equipped with MTX75 manual transmission. At the end of the video you can see how you can diagnose a bad, worn out mount bushing. My technique was to engage hand brake / emergancy brake, ...
How to disconnect a fuel line without a special tool
Переглядів 154 тис.3 роки тому
Simple and cheap solution to disconnect a fuel line. You can use not only a garden hose, but something that is similar and can get under the retaining spring inside the connector. It can be even a thin metal sheet that you can bend. Just find a proper material a thickness.
Ford Mondeo Mk2 ST200 / Contour SVT / Mystique rear anti roll bar end link and bushing replacement
Переглядів 1 тис.3 роки тому
This is how I replaced the bushings and the end links on my Ford Mondeo ST200 rear anti roll bar. Unfortunately the both bolts holding the bushing braket broke, so it took a bit more time to replace. Normaly, when everything goes well, its an easy job and would not take long to do. When the bushings wore out they make noise at bumps. The rubber on the end links was cracked - so I replaced it wi...
How to install towbar on a Ford Mondeo, Steinhof - Westfalia - Oris
Переглядів 13 тис.3 роки тому
This is how I installed an aftermarket towbar. Manufactured by Steinhof specifically for this model of Ford Mondeo year 2007-2014 estate / kombi / wagon. Installation of any other branded towbars like Bosal, Westfalia, Oris, etc. are basically the same. Please note that you need to buy a canbus unit separately. Installation of an aftermarket canbus unit is more complicated. In this video I used...
Ford Mondeo Mk2 ST200 rear strut removal
Переглядів 2,4 тис.3 роки тому
This video is about how i removed the rear strut from a 1999 Ford Mondeo ST200 saloon / sedan. Applies also for Mistique, Contour models with same rear suspension. Will be installing new Bilstein B4 struts with Vogtland lowering springs. New strut mounts, dust boots and bumpers from KYB. Spring top plate Ford (retainer) refurbished. Also replaced the bolts for OEM Ford.
Ford Mondeo Focus Fiesta wireless key disassembly transponder chip extraction
Переглядів 11 тис.5 років тому
How to extract a transponder chip from Ford wireless key without any damage. No need of special tools. In the video you can see a 1999 Ford Mondeo wireless key disassembly and chip extraction. Same technique may be applied for other Ford keys as well.
Thanks !!!! ❤
what are those rear brakes i want those i got the stock tiiny weeny ones
Stock brake calipers with upgraded ATE performance rotors, they call them PowerDisc.
@edmade3654 ima get me some of that
@edmade3654 how well does it mount on it looks alot thicker than the stock one
Niiice. Using the same concept, i used a rolled up business card lol. In and out. Much thanks lol
The music fucked it up
Looks easy with fittings that we're all polished up and already separated before. Let us see you do that with lines that are 15 or 20 years old and never been apart before!
Forgot to get one at parts store n my only vehicle is down lol thanks
This car has a profound water leak on a rear bumper through its bumper cover, gets rusty easy. Should fix this leak to use a tow bar safely for a long period of time.
If you make a tool then that makes the tool special. Therefore its a special tool
Thx for the tutorial. Nice to see some videos on a relatively rare car like this. I need to change the front springs on my car. It's the same model. Is the procedure the same as in the rear?
It's not the same in the front as you should remove the lower arm ball-joint. Furthermore you could (probably should) remove the driveshaft nut, brake caliper to make it easier and safer. You can do it a couple of different ways but it's not anything special. It is a very similar procedure on many other cars. And a warning: the pinch bolt can be really difficult to remove if rusty so soak it in penetrating fluid and be patient if it's in bad shape.
Thank you, Just made my own video and added a link to yours in the description, and subbed to your channel
Now that made my day Sir! Thank you very much!
Amanha farei o mesmo com meu mondeo 97 glx. Nao achei videos assim do Brasil. Obrigado.
Hi, do u have parts for sale? I own a ford mondeo mk2
Still don't like the way the towing eye is now gone. And the bumper support is now gone. Shame the towing can't mounted underneath.
Very Nice thx🎉
Nice hack
You just made my day😊
Says how to with out special tool proceeds to make their own special tool
Stupid is as this guy does! C'mon man, really? Even if this would work, how many people really have some extra lengths of garden house just laying around the house??? On top of that your choice of music sucks donkey balls, especially since you decided not to even try to explain anything you did by using this thing called your voice. Yup, let's do our best to not connect with anyone at all that may watch your effortless video...
Superb
Pex works great as well
Ha, cheaper to spend 10 bucks for a tool at harbor freight.
Will this broken restrictor cause torque steer?
Yes it will affect alignment but in my experience it is most noticeable from vibrations and noise that you can get in lower gears as is said in the description. It probably depends on how worn it is though.
I don't have the tool...and, I don't have the hose...I am just out of luck smh
Cut up a $30 hose so you don't have to buy a $5 tool? That seems like a bad plan.
Nice video. Looking to install a towbar to my own Mondeo. At 08:15, is water entering really an issue? I've seen that most people route the cables through that hole, as this is the only way without drilling. How did you do it in the end?
Thank you. I have no issues with water so far. This is a spot that hardly can get any water. The cable is under the rubber plug, so if water would be flowing down, it will not enter the hole. But even water flowing down is rare i think becase there is a lamp above. Relatively well protected from water. I admit its not professionally done, but hey, its ok for me. :)
Another video showed a shot of silicon spray to lube any O rings and ease install or disconnect . Thanks .
Great music choice.
I wanna ask what's different between rear suspension for mondeo mk2 1.6 and st200 Because my brain is lost
Hi. The St200 one is with the sport suspension. Nowadays it really does not matter because you can't order anymore stock for st200 model. You can install both st200 and standard suspension on you mk2. They have same size. I recommend Bilstein B4 for sporty feel. Also I have lowering springs. -40mm Sedan and estate use different setup so this is the only difference i think.
Same happened to mine today so had to remove the sway bar for the weekend to get to work but what drill bits did you use and how long did it take to drill them out 😂
@@richardnorman1158 Sorry to hear that. Well, i used different size drills, started from smaller one and went on with bigger diameter. I used HSS-Cobalt drill bits. With brand new drill bits it will go faster, but i had already used ones so it took a while. Maybe 20 mins each :)
@@edmade3654 I brought some metal dril bits draper ones but they aren’t touching it Do you have any recommendations on what good ones to use mate
You the man !!!!!!
Nice. But you did skip the unmounting of the muffler and heatshield on the left side, the bolts are impossible to fit without doing this.
Hi. Thank you. Step 7 and 8 is basically what you are mentioning. I did not remove the heat shield completetly. I put a piece of wood between the body and the mufler to make space for my hands. But if someone has a helping buddy all you need is just to push the muffler down while putting the bolts in.
Thanks Ed
Have you already tried? It worked for you as well?
You doing anymore vids on the st?
Yes. Lack of time and freezing weather outside makes it difficult. Dont have a garage yet, so its kind of an issue. Will try to make something of my old video material.
@EdMade brilliant 👏.. iv got springs going on mine soon as one snapped, have to lower the subframe though so that's going to be fun! 🙄
@@bonzaimolly Normally when replacing the srings you don't have to do anything to the subframe. Anyway the rear bolts of the subframe can a pain in the @ss.
@EdMade just for the front springs, I had to drop it to fit a strut bearing last year, what a pain that was!!!!
So you made your own special tool
isnt the hoes supposed to be like too thiccccc to fit under the edge there
Works GREAT!
Good job and lucky enough to have a nice bit of space around you.
To the point with no attempt at humor or a long intro. I f'ing love you! Lol
I dont have a garden hose. So tonite i will wait till the neibors are asleep and go cut a section out of their hose. Thanks for the info
thanx so much!!!! I knew there was a simple solution to this headache. thanks again.
Time to cut up my neighbors hose 😈
But right in the middle, not from the end LOL
Adorable 🥰
Thank you Ed!
Stupid.... you just made your own "special tool" which means you used a "special too"
Hello, good morning, I am a follower of your channel and I am contacting you, to be able to comment on the following situation that occurs in my vehicle, Ford mondeo mk2 2.5 v6, one morning the battery was discharged, without knowing how to change the battery, when month or so, the car stopped in full operation, it was as if the electricity had died, stop, giving it and giving it until it started, again as if the battery was without charge, it was only a month old, I changed the alternator regulator , and well, I bought it, it charges over 14.5V, and I considered the fault finished, one day cleaning the interior, I left the radio on, while I cleaned, and nothing a few minutes later, the voltage began to drop, less to less, until the battery was discharged at that moment, I was surprised because that had never happened to him, I did another test, with the battery charged again, I gave the contact, after a short time, equal to less to less , that in a moment the battery goes away, I recharge it, install it, and leave it and connected approximately 2 months, until I realized that the red light of the alarm did not blink, I checked it and discharged, that did not happen in the past either, it carried out the current leakage test with the multimeter, because I told myself that this would have to be a current leak, it is the logical thing to think, and what was my surprise, that the value it gave is 0.02 amps, with the battery just charged, so there is no current leak, I have also performed the voltage drop test and it gives 000v both positive and negative, and then what happens to it? I don't even know what else to do, regarding what I am explaining to you, I await your prompt clarification, please, greetings.
Hello Mario. Thank you for your comment and that you follow the channel. Have you tryed contacting your shop where you bought the new battery? Maybe the battery has a faulty cell. Another thing that if you use your car not too often the "health" of the battery will go down. There are techniques to maintain rarely used batteries with recharging.
@@edmade3654 Yes, the second battery that I put in was new, believing that this was the problem, but before that the battery discharged never happened, all this that I explain to you, happens with the car stopped, it has not moved since I replaced the alternator regulator, maybe it's because the control units need to be configured when it moves since you reconnect the battery, I don't understand it, to give you some explanation, it's giving me a lot to do since it happened, a lot to think about, it doesn't end never, and what do you think, do I consider the fault to be over?, or what else can I check?, I don't know what to do, have you had problems with the alternator in your mondeo?, they usually fail in our mondeo model.
@@Mario14792 Well. Electrical problems are the worst nighmares. Difficult to solve. Yes indeed in V6 models the alternator failure is quite common and is pain in the @ss to replace. But usually it has some signs before it dies, like blinking battery lamp, or low voltage, etc. I would start from checking the easy things like lamps, bulbs etc, that you can easily see. For example in MK4 mondeo estate/wagon there is a common problem that the rear light bulb holder gets moisty and makes the connectors to rust. Therefore you will have short circuit constatly and it will drain the battery. Check the electrical windows, radio, lights, comfort module (is behid the glove box). Disconnect the comfort module and see what happens with battery voltage. Lastly take the car to an expert for electrical issues - they have the right tools and knowledge to find the fault.
I had the same or similar issue and for now I have simply pulled the fuse for the alarm/central locking and interior lights (you can still lock the rear doors from the inside). Water ingress and old wiring are usual culprits. For example the car might think doors are open or closed when they are not. Old alarm systems are also notorious for causing battery drain.
this video is what i need for my 1993 mondeo mk1 that i plan on lowering thanks
Lowered Mk1 with 18 inch wheels looks awesome. How low you'll go with it? I have -40mm but not impressed :)
@@edmade3654 i gonna lower it 40/50mm on 16 inc mondeo mk2 st24 wheels
If you know what size your connector is, you can buy single disconnect tools for a couple of bucks at any parts house
😂 u dumb
Shut your face. every automotive repair video has someone insist on going to the store to buy something. The title of the video is removing without special tool hence not to spend money or go to the parts store. Don’t be that guy I’m out.. Gotta go find a garden hose.
Yes but this is helpful because I had a gas line break and I didn't realize i needed the tool until I was changing it with no way to store.
LoL... handyman @ his finest
Hi brother, I have 2005 ford fiesta. And my key has nothing inside. No chip no nothing. Somehow pre owner made like this. I am looking to buy chip from Ali Express . But Because nothing in there. I do not know which type of chip suitable. 3 or 4 type of chip available in Ali express. Do you know how can ı find proper chip?
Hello. I beleive they are functioning the same. First of all you need to find the one the fits by its size / shape. There are round and square shapes. Usually they marked as 4D60.
@@edmade3654 Thank you for reply ! Mine is square one I believe. There is "ID60" "ID63(40bit)" "ID63(80bit)" available on the market. Whats the difference İf you know. İf there is no difference , i will buy either one of these. Thank you for help.
@@TheMehmet. I don't know man. I would choose 4D60. Don't know about the others you mentioned. Sorry. :(
Question regarding the wiring. Where is the fusebox for that? Is it in the rear where it's run to or does that wire need to be run to the front fusebox? Also is it just a connector or does it actually have to be wired in?
Dear Luke, thank you for question. Threre is a fuse box on the left hand side of the trunk behind the cover. You don't have to wire from the front one. Please note that you have to install a canbus module for the towbar. It is either in comes with with the towbar or you have to buy it separately. Also for your information there is a connector behind the cover of the right hand side of the trunk, specially designed for OEM module. So if you buy a Ford OEM module form another Mondeo, you can simply plug it in. Mine was an aftermarket one, and was installed by a specialist.
This is brilliant. Thanks a lot! Great to see these awesome early mondeos still being loved!
No shit ! Make a special tool and make sure your hand obscures the actual disconnect action. So I am going to Walmart and buy 40 feet of garden hose! Not! And lose the fucking piano.
You sound like a guy that would complain that his coffee is too hot.🤣
Here's an idea 💡 use that old hose that's been leaking for years.
It’s for fuckers who have a spare junked hose… 🙄 If you are not part of the solution you must be part of the problem
I just came across this old video while doing some research on some parts for the jeep liberty I just bought. I just watched it and I literally almost said the exact thing word for word. I haven't tried this method to remove it yet, but It doesn't make any since at all why the the disconnect is so obscured. I wouldn't have even thought twice about it though normally, I would just assume he sucks at filming. But the dude looked like he was doing sleight of hand the whole time....
@@dale_agameroftheworstgen cause it doesn't work on the majority of 'quick connections', and seriously doubtful it works here too.
