Windle International Uganda (WIU) is an International Non-Governmental Organization managing Education programmes in humanitarian operations in Uganda. WIU was established in 1996 with the aim of promoting peace and development in communities.
We provide access to quality education and training and advocate for the rights and needs of underserved people.
In partnership with the government of Uganda through, the Prime Minister’s office and development partners, we operate on all stages of education, from early childhood development to primary, secondary, graduate, post-graduate, and vocational training. Our education interventions help students to think creatively about development challenges, and discover ways to solve them.

Adolescent Girls Education in Crisis Initiative (AGENCI) Graduation Ceremony in Moyo District.
133 young people (111 women & 22 men) who gained hands-on experience in trades like tailoring, motorcycle repairs, catering, hairdressing, welding, & metal fabrication under Adolescent Girls Education in Crisis Initiative (AGENCI) project graduated and were awarded DIT Certificates. They now stand ready to start their own businesses, contribute to their communities, and support their families.

Refugees don't just escape a place, they have to escape a thousands of memories.
