The Federal Bureau of Happy Retirements with Jerri Williams
I’m a massive fan of books and movies about the FBI. If my wife sees me reading, she can often assume it’s some story about counterintelligence or criminal profiling. One night, I was enjoying a podcast called FBI Retired Case File Review, and it dawned on me that as someone with my own podcast, I could just ask the host to be a guest. To my delight, she agreed.
Jerri Williams retired after serving 26 years as a special agent in the FBI. In addition to her podcast, she does work as a technical consultant for major TV networks and production companies. She’s also the author of several books, both fiction and non-fiction. Through her story-telling and interviews with retired FBI agents, she debunks myths and misconceptions with a mission to show the public who the FBI is and what the FBI does. Her podcast has more than 300 episodes and 10 million downloads, so I think it’s safe to say: mission accomplished.
Jerri said that talking to me gave her an excuse to reflect on what retirement means, and it felt like therapy. Take her words to heart; perhaps it will for you, too.

Carving Out A Spooky Retirement: Halloween With Ken Klinker
Переглядів 5821 день тому
Ken Klinker loves carving pumpkins. He started doing it for his kids 30 years ago. He’d come home from work and head straight to the shed-eager to sculpt some groovy orange gourds. His wife spent so much time alone in the house that she started calling herself “The Pumpkin Widow.” But retirement has given Ken the freedom to turn that passion into a thriving core pursuit that even pays for itsel...

Kathy Sperl-Bell’s Guide to Winning at Work and Retirement
Переглядів 692 місяці тому
Kathy Sperl-Bell has an abstract painting called “Dinner Time.” In it, a Pelican stares down into the sea as dark shadows betray the location of fish who, unbeknownst to them, are in serious jeopardy. What strikes me about this particular Pelican is his ability to keep his eye on the prize. His hunger is evident. That patient facade is a practiced skill, not a breezy indifference. He knows that...

The Biggest Risk Of All With George Jerjian
Переглядів 852 місяці тому
Albert Einstein once said, “Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.” George Jerjian gave it a shot. What he noticed was that nothing in nature retires. Polar Bears don’t leave with severance packages, and Komodo Dragons don’t get a gold watch or cake in the office kitchen. Wildlife is typically either growing or dying. In short, George says the word “retirement” i...

Education coupled with understanding is so powerful!
I LOVE Phil Hendrie. Funniest radio in radio history. Brilliant!!!!!!!
I work and collect soc .sec. ...they tax my soc sec. as regular income but don't give me credit for it in my soc. sec. report as part of my income '''which would increase my soc sec . payout to me...thievery
Funwoody in Dunwoody - Love it!
Best of luck
I know cutting in again but I'm actually heading to Spain and Portugal at the end of this month 😂😂

The podcast is not funnier than the radio shows. Let's not lie to each other.
I have been collecting widows Benefits sconce since he passed in 2014
I’ve been disabled since I was 40 , at age 58 my ex was on disability and passed away , now I’m 71 and could I get his total disability benefits now ?
My 60-year-old sister had a great autonomous remote marketing job for years. Then her company got acquired and the job disappeared. Now she can’t find a similar remote job. Maybe it’s her age, but there’s another big change: she's learning that the rest of the educated world-not just Americans-are her remote jobseeker competition now. She doesn't have a hobby that can become an income overnight, so she's in a bit of tough spot.
That's too bad he didn't stay with his wife. They did have a good marriage. Too bad
Tell me why I was expecting a dog lol 😂funny love this
How about holding his hand the old school way that's a father and son relationship
When doing the break even calculation you should include the number of years from today. For example if you are 62 today and decide to defer until 70 and break even is 82 then it’s a 20 year break even not 12. Why? Because you can die anytime between now and 82 to come out ahead claiming at 62 and need to live 20+ years to come out ahead when deferring.
Because your squatting?
A swing and a miss...
Gardening!
Really appreciate Mary Beth's insight! She knows her stuff
...nice skin albeit a bit pale. Impeccible teeth and apparently no time to shave. I can always tell a doctor by their hands... im leaning "Yes" you are a doctor at Cedar-Senai
I have called social security 5 times gotten 5 different answers, and some just outright. Told me they don't know. Social care is the worst people to call to ask questions. I don't know about hard working, but they're terrible explaining and helping seniors
This is hilarious. These scenarios are so accurate and true. I've seen these happen, especially when the old man turns around and marry somebody 30. And she right away has a child, so she can lock in her 401k with him😅
I never had a pension working for small time businesses, especially in the dental field. They don't have pensions very few sick days very few vacation days😢
Please someone explain if the spouses are working for government, particularly prosecutors attorneys for the government, the city. How does that work cause? I understand they get a pension and at like teachers they don't get social securities. Do people that work for the government? Such as prosecutors and attorneys that work for the government. Do they get pensions and no social security? I can't seem to find information and social security when you call them. Have no idea
They should have gave homeless people all over the country lasagna
Construction program in the city of LA…what, are they getting another $2,000,000 singular public toilet??
Ty. For this information
Love the advice from J Delony.
so?
Some notable exceptions notwithstanding, Phil’s improvisations had a juvenile center of gravity. An auto aficionado at Florida’s Amelia Concours d'Elegance ejaculates on the seat inside a sexy Alfa Romeo. Jay Santos secretly films neighborhood women undressing. Steve Bosell defecates into the mouth of a sleeping coworker. Jim Sadler explains the pros and cons of sticking your thumb up your opponent’s rectum when wrestling. Phil’s scatological humor (“stick it up hard left and twist it”) isn’t classy. It appeals heavily to eight-to-sixteen-year-old males. No wonder Phil only has a cult following.
Thank you so much for your wonderful advice ❤❤❤
Thank you for having me on, Wes! Always fun hanging out with you 👍
Thanks for joining us! Had a great time
He tried it…we will save him a hot dog at the cookout but no burger 😂
He won't have food stamps to contribute 😮😂😊 see how that works
Sold!! I'll take it 😂
This isn't The Dougie. This is The Douglas from accounting.
I tried my best, but i'll take it! 😂
How
I got rhythm like that. You got better moves than me
Never trust your heart or your head they will always lie to you . Only trust your gut your gut instinct will get you through life🫡
He immediately forgets his instinct and goes into the Porta potty
My instincts are why i have 6 kids with 4 women.
Drake
Phil is THE PILL!!!
RENOUNCE citizenship and be free. 1 all of us half accounts with money that's being held in your name and ships in Puerto Rico there are trillions of dollars out there everybody's got millions of dollars being held in Puerto Rico forYOU 1❤
This is terrible can't you hear yourself you act like it's good news but it's really bad news how much they cut your check and what you there's a income that earning stipulation to get your whole Social Security why is that your income has nothing to do with you retiring and getting your Social Security that's your money you should be able to get it all back and all the taxes we pay we should get our we should get them all back cuz they're borrowing money from us but they're not they're keeping us and we're slaves
Well you don't have a choice to put Social Security and not that I know of. And I don't know when people are going to wake up and start claiming who they are and get their money because there's tons of millions and trillions of dollars out there for everybody I think it's wrong that you don't get your full amount of Social Security.
I think it's ridiculous to make somebody work until they're almost dead to get their retirement.❤ also they ought to give us all the money they've been holding back on us and sending the Puerto Rico. ❤ yeah you're right as long as they live which will probably be a couple years after they finally get you know their retirement that's what happened to my friend Billy😂 he died at 65 and he just got in his Social Security
Access funds? You mean everybody's account that is in the Social Security in Puerto Rico and the Federal Reserve accounts that are in every single person's name in the United States so they're going to dip into that right
Arigato :) I am retired from UNhappy money - No need to retire from HAPPY money... hello HAPPY money :) I will live - thank you, Ken!
