There was a nice melodic JAM from the COMMITTEE LP that reminded me of a long lost Floyd song I heard on the radio 32 years ago. It was about 5 minutes long, upbeat, had a baroque-like keyboard melody and a trippy guitar solo with FEW LYRICS. One fan suggested the TITLE being ZABRISKE POINT but it didn't fit the CRITERIA for this tune. Does anyone know what this song's title might be?

36:33 Rain In The Country starts off sounding like The Beatles' Mother Nature's Son and then starts sounding like Pink Floyd's The Narrow Way (Part 1). Very awesome!

    V. nice comp. (although missing 'Violent sequence; aka Us&Them, that Antonioni rejected! ): Just a hopefully helpful note: those who have seen the film (voted, btw, one of "the 50 Worst of all time'* (!) by H. Medved's book, way back in '78) will know that the end 'Axe' here is what was used (shorter duration) in the film (including exploding fridge with slow motion contents flying about* - some of that used in their '73/4 live screen gigs), and was then titled as "Come in .. 51": sharp eared fans will probably recognise what is "51" here (1st track) is more of a wig out version of the 'Rise&Shine' segment of 'Alans' Psych Brekkies' on AHM, as Rick's keyboards hints: e.g. you can almost imagine/hear it going into the kettle whistle thereon :-) *the only worthwhile bit to see - right at the end: so Medved was right as it's tedious bore throughout, otherwise! Ohh, & 'more': 'Alan's Blues' is, of course, their only 'studio' release of the tune they often played as an encore - most notoriously, the last ever at the chaotic (Wall/'spit' instigator) Montreal, Canada, '77 tour closedown gig.

Zabriskie Point. Someone knows it? I read the usual lot of bullshits, here like about every upload but i don't read what is necessary remember...This Floyd's job is the soundtrack of a masterpiece of Michelangelo Antonioni: Zabriskie Point movie, an absolute milestone of late 60's.. Do you know Michelangelo Antonioni director? He was a genius, an Italian giant. I'm proud to be Italian. Who are you? You are a wild army of stupid goats without culture, you tell just to open your mouth...Try to study before spit your bloody, fuck bullshits and respect the truly genious. Italian culture lights the world, you are just barbarians, keep silent and learn.

Interesting! I've got all the official audio releases but I don't recall hearing that version of 'Come in number 51...' before. Where's that from? Have you heard the version of Oneone with Roger and Dave making shagging noises?! Embryo is a rather incongruous choice though, unless that's why you put it there! To be honest, I thought the film was such boring crap (apart from the exploding villa) that I can't remember what happens!

I fell asleep a few years back with my TV on Sundance channel i believe ,hours later I started to dream of being chased through the woods by my cousin, when we were children, whose name was Eugene, and when he caught me and started to hit me with the ax I woke up and stared at the television and heard Roger’s voice, screaming , watched for a few minutes didn’t know what the hell I was looking at never never saw it, but now it is in my thoughts and dreams forever.😂

Great compilation. I like to do those for myself. Yours flows very well. I enjoy starting and finishing with 2 versions of "Careful", being the first adapted to the soundtrack and wih another name. I only miss "Country song" ( that is "looking at the map" with vocals). "Binding my TIme" would be a good album closer, but the time would excede - or it coulg go full "double album" mode and include also "Fingal´s cave" and even "Embryo" live

I remember that for Embryo I bought a vinyl sampler album, as it wasn't on the original Zabriskie Point soundtrack. Harvest Records was just founded. I found the Floyd track a bit disappointing, lol, but the double (!) had lots of other bands and soloists from the same era. Picnic; a Breath of Fresh Air , 1970. Nuggets from the Pretty Things (their excellent post-psychedelia period), Kevin Ayres, Roy Harper, Pete Brown & Piblokto, Syd Barrett's Terrapin and ogod, Bakerloo's fantastic rock-bluesy This Worried Feeling. Save for Barrett , Pretty Things and Ayers all bands were unknown to me (and most were never heard of again) It was a very welcome addition to The Rock Machine Turns You On (1968) and, two years later, Fill Your Head With Rock, which was even more sensational - I heard a track from the highly desired first Argent album! 'Dance In The Smoke'. Heavenly! These samplers greatly helped to broaden my pop experience. Unfortunately I never bought the Bakerloo album, it was quite rare...but fifteen minutes ago I found their first record on - Praise Hurley, Chen and Karim! - UA-cam. So I'm off to the wizard!

Since then rock music was taking off, learning to fly and explored everything they want to. It's transcendental in a good way. And notes are transforming, become VIBRATION.
