Bro, you can see with your own eyes that the oil is cold, that's why there was zero sizzle when he put the bread in the pan. It's a cast iron pan, it takes time to heat up. Just because the fire is on doesn't mean the oil is hot yet. This is basic cooking, you can clearly see the oil is not hot yet.
