This piece came apart in a lot of spots. The black spots cannot be seen with the naked eye so we just cleaned it and the customer never saw the weld spots. I blame LV for not connecting the jump rings. And for making this in gold plate.

Good point. There was sentiment associated with the silver chain. You charge for the time not the material.

​@bellemeadejewelryrepair1231 yeah ..I've just never seen a hollow silver chain ...nice repair .....most jewelers are not competent enough to even repair a small hollow rope like that ...they will just make something up to avoid doing it 👏👏👍

The beautiful thing about yag lasers are they can rejoin any metal. If it’s base metal it cannot be repaired. Base metal commonly referred to as pot metal is not repairable.
