What competition is this? This is for sure not Handball World Cup how is written in the title, because in 1992 there was no Handball World Cup, it was in 1993 but Yugoslavia didn't participate because of embargo.

I was a kid in 1990s, back then, for one decade, these two teams dominated the World of Handball. Of 12 finals in the 1990s (of World Cup, Olympic Games and European), only World Cup Final 1995 was played without these 2 nations, and 7 finals were played between these 2 teams (1990 WC, 1992 JO, 1994 EC, 1997 WC, 1999 WC, 2000 EC, 2000 JO).

Jeg er dansker, men det var lidt sjov at i 90´erne, hvor Danmark var ret dårlige i herrehåndbold (hvis vi ser bort fra netop EM i 1994, hvor det blev til en hæderlig 4. plads), heppede jeg altid på Sverige i håndbold. Så jeg glædede mig også hver gang, Sverige vandt guld. De havde et fantastisk hold dengang under Bengan. I dag har vi danskere heldigvis selv fået et fantastisk hold, som på mange måder minder meget om det hold, Sverige havde dengang. De er sådan cirka lige gode, tror jeg. De senere år er Sverige dog også kommet godt med igen og vandt jo fortjent EM-guld sidste år...

This final took place just a few days before the start of football World Cup 1994. After some years, Handball federations changed the calendar, and so, all the competitions now take place in January, when there are no important football tournaments.

What nice memories. Peruninic didn't feature at that World Cup. Lapcevic played left back.
