And despite losing everything and everyone and being imprisoned forever his spirit is still stronger than the walls of Ba Sing See. Also I've noticed this during Zaheers duel with Tenzin: Whilst Tenzin was flying and tornadoing to upper floors, Zaheer was jumping and climbing while boosting it with his bending. Furthermore his air bending attacks were not like Aangs or any other airbenders. He was just using bending to boost his long developed martial arts. Despite being undoubtedly high-skilled, talented, spiritualy and mentaly strong, quick-learning and the fact he developed his own highly leathal air bending technique he is still fighting like a non-bender instead of a full fledged bender.

Amon isn't wrong. If anything, his beliefs are the only ones that actually makes sense, the only ones that would bring true peace.

I know Legend of Korra get’s reasonably hated on, while maybe a bit too much, but one thing we all can agree on is how the villains in the series are some of the best
