How SOTIF impact on safety requirements of ISO 26262..?

Hi Pavni. SOTIF requirements will be derived from the measures which are a result of the "Functional Modifications [ISO 21448:2022 - clause 8). These measures improve the performance of sensors, decision algorithms and actuators but can also lead to "Functional restrictions". Also the "reasonably foreseeable misuse" will be covered. These measures and their respectively requirements are complementing the Functional Safety Requirements and can be seen in parallel. But for example the restriction of functions could have an impact on the Functional Safety (e.g., when you have to remove the authority from the vehicle and hand over to the "prepared" driver). This could lead that you have to change from a "fail safe" architecture to a "fail operational". For the identification of those impacts we recommend to perform an "impact analysis".
