Rheem water heater fire!
Переглядів 6393 роки тому
Rheem Performance Platinum water heater fire caused by recall condition. Our 7 year old Rheem water heater spontaneously caught fire yesterday while I was standing near it. Apparently there is a recall on these water heaters purchased from Home Depot but we were never notified. Please take the time to look up your serial number in the database before you loose your house to an electrical fire. ...

I owned a gold 1970 model J. I remember breaking out the shift cable several times doing bleach burnouts.
What up dude? Im one of 9 proud owners of a red 1994 automatic nsx. I got mine last year from Chicago with 21 k miles. Currently has about 26k :)
Crap vizio mine did the same no warrenty exactly not buying vizio again shit can
it was a good looking car. but still it seemed like a le mans with a tacked on long hood (which it basically was)
our theme caught on fire last night! much worse than this. we just so happened to be cleaning our oven so when we smelled a burning smell we thought it was just that. SO lucky our house didn’t burn down. had no idea there was a recall issue either and im about to call them and rip them to shreds.

That sticking is the difference between paint and an actual pvd coating.
210bhp😂😂 you are full of bullshit
Sea Don't.
Stunning
That’s exactly how my gsxr 750 sounds ngl
Anymore black Rumble Bee's for sale?

ST 300 = Powerglide with electric kickdown . Two speed, top end 100 mph.
Use the cracks. Always look for cracks to help split
hi, thanks for the video. but, starting to that diameter, you should try first by the edge, not the center...
200+ with a stock wheel base 🤣🧢 no tune/ dyno no flashed ecu
I have an 04 r1 with built motor, 100 shot of nitrous, and tuned. Still stock wheel base. Hold on is all I say 🤣
Crazy the husky was in the $20 range only 3 years ago. Gotta love inflation.
Tengo uno 1969 y es un magnífico auto 🚘
How much
It's rare because Automatic were only 250 hp and no one really wanted them.
AWESOME !!!
That’s the coolest comby rialta I’ve ever seen 🤟🏽🔥
Nice job! I just bought my 75’ yesterday and it needs lots of work but can’t wait to hear that sound!
The husky has a lifetime warranty to
To what?
Uh... the tonneau bra cover is known as a boot. It's what all convertibles came with back in the day. And they fit a lot better when they came as standard equipment on real convertibles.
I had a 70 GP J Model with the same blue paint with a white vinyl top. The 400 engine would grab 140 MPH in a heartbeat!
Yup
Il saund è molto simile alla e21 318 bmw
Just happened to me this morning melted two big holes in panel about the size of a silver dollar almost caught dirty laundry on fire mine was a platinum too
Did you keep the panel? I'm currently representing a couple whose house burned down.
Chris, this happened to me late last night but mine progressed further than yours. The control panel is completely burned up and the outside plastic cover is totally melted away. A couple hours later and my family and I would have been asleep and this fire could have been disastrous. Did you not contact Rheem about this? I am currently on hold with their service department (46 minutes and counting) but I want a replacement water heater installed! This thing could have easily burned my house down. I did the same thing you did, googled "Rheem electric water heater fire" and found that they have had 296 instances of fires originating from an overheated control panel. I know the "full warranty" is for 3 years but that is to change out a defective part or replace a leaking tank. I feel like this issue is gross negligence and they should have made more of an effort to contact owners of heaters included in the recall. I'm ready to go to war over this if they are unwilling to replace or compensate me.

@@paulcannella3408 this just happened at our house … what is the result… what should we do?
R1 motors make no where near 250. So that's a lie. Unless its a built motor and you are lying about it being a lucas oil spec car.
Happened to me this am
What diff is in it?
Where did you get that dash from
Just custom made with aluminum.
What makes this look really good is no fricking vinyl top.
Yep she is a beauty I would love to be the proud new owner & driving her.
Beautiful!
Isn't Coy spelt Koi??
Smooth as silk! I had a 70 with the 400in it, the fastest car I ever owned. It would grab 140 MPH on the interstate in a heartbeat!
The whole point of demonstrating the overdrive is to state what the RPM is before overdrive and after so one can see the advantage of its use.
No, actually the whole point of demonstrating the operation of nearly anything on a used car is to show that it is indeed functional. On a vehicle of this age the majority of the customer base is either well versed on the equipment or eager to research and learn about it. Me spending the entire test drive talking about transmissions, axles, input and final drive ratios as they relate to fuel economy and torque delivery would most certainly leave anybody wanting to move on to the next video. In any case the new owner of the car didn't mind the video and happily came across the planet to pick it up! Thanks John 👍
I might be biased cause I own a 73 1800ES, but I personally think that the B20E has the best exhaust and intake note of any stock inline 4. I love my car to bits and I feel sad that winter is getting close which means almost half a year of not driving the thing.
It's always a bummer putting the iron away for winter.
@@chriswesney totally. I still have a couple weekends left at most until its time to lock it up
Love it
And it is the same year make as me
Where's Robert D?
beautiful beautiful car
Great video, I'm in Australia and this happened to me last week with a smaller Rheem electrical water heater. The connectors and wiring sheath were also melted away, It didn't damage any of the circuit boards so they have put in a temporary fix with wiring and a connector box using some of the old electrical wire leading away to the main power switchboard. As I am in a rental, the electrician explained the hazard to me but believe they (the real estate and owner( were not going to do too much until I e-mailed them the melted wiring and connector photos which really drove the fire hazard home. My only worry is that I didn't notice any smoke but the wires under the panel were pretty done all the way through.
Thanks for watching. That sounds DANGEROUS! I would not reuse any portion of an electrical item that had previously shorted out or been damaged. You/They have no way of knowing if any other part of the unit has been compromised. Stay safe!
