I think you know which kids you can keep up with. They can have my instagram after they have left my class and I don’t follow back lol immediately…I give it some time…or I might not ever.🤷🏾‍♀️

I didn't grade my last few assignments😂 I made them do work after testing & it all went in the trash. That's how I saved time😂 in all seriousness, I had enough grades so that's why I did that.

They all look great on you - my favorite is the red and blue stripey one.

I'm a middle school Spanish Teacher and the"honeymoon phase" is definitely over. I barely had one either just because we had back to school night before the first week of school and the parents were already judgmental.

Great advice. I would recommend teachers set boundaries. And I loved the fact you reference building a support system around you. I also appreciate the fact that you reference building relationships with the kids through sports, clubs, etc. Have a great school year!

Protip.,. If you love discbound, the owire planners easily convert to use for discs. Plus wrmk has punches so you can add to the owire planners. ❤

This year i decided to ditch a paper planner and go digital. I didnt want to be extra and overwhelm myself with anything fancy so i have a simply layout in Google sheets for my quarterly overview and weekly spreads. I love that its editable, customizable, can link my actual lessons and resourses and I can share it with my team if needed. I hope it goes well but i wish i could get into a paper planner but i have tried for 3 years. This is my 4th year teaching high school and many other planners cater to primary school.

I really love the point you made for getting your classroom together. My first classroom I made a lot of stuff and got everything else from Dollar Tree. My room wasn’t perfect but it was clear to my students that I put the effort and that they could assume I would do the same with my instruction.

I think the timers will be a game changer for me. Grading essays can be a bit of a rabbit hole. Thanks for the tips

What a fun idea! I loved that the students took pictures at the end to use for review. The one time I actually use Kahoot is Back to School Night. I create a quiz based on what we're doing in class, where to find important information, and just silly questions about myself. Then I have the parents/families play at the end of my presentation. My students who show up love giving away the answers and the families actually get super competitive to win. 😆Anyway, great video and I LOVE the sign off! Keep it up!
