Roma Street Parklands tour

A tour of the water features in Brisbane's Roma Street Parklands. Shot in 2006 on a manky digital camera not designed to shoot video, and the file shrunk to within an inch of its life so it wouldn't take forever to upload.

Goodies Christmas commerical

The Goodies wish you a merry Christmas. This has been rattling round my hard drive so long I genuinely don't remember where it's from. (This clip doesn't seem to already be on UA-cam. If it is, just let me know and I'll take this copy down.)

Intro to The Afternoon Show with Michael Tunn from the early 1990s.
Oh my 😂 these comments are amazing
So glad this was on youtube. I've been looking for it after randomly thinking about MC MT today. Remember it so clearly, even as a 7 year old!
What's the rest of the lyrics? I've heard this a thousand times but don't what he's saying. "Scratching with my <something> radio".
Boss.
what year did Joey Kennedy leave couch potato?
wasn't this hosted by Mark Little?
Grant Piro
I remember Couch Potato, I think my sister and I used to watch it. I don't remember very much about it other than the fact they would air episodes of Inspector Gadget, in fact that was the reason why I watched Couch Potato in the first place because I loved Inspector Gadget and still do. What else did they do on that show? I just don't remember what else happened on it.
Hi, My name is Matt. I realise you havent got a clue who I am and are wondering what would make me contact you well I couldn't help notice some of your old school abc videos which i grew up with in that amazing time for tv. I go to a film school in melbourne and have finished a short film which i managed to get former round the twist cast member who played mr gribble to act in I thought you might like to see otherwise i wish you all the best and enjoy your videos Matt.
In the 80's UK animated programmes looked a lot better than US produced animated programmes.
I remember watching this on the ABC. Used to be on after RAGE. Was watching this as a kid during the 1990's. Love the lines at the end of the promo '9 O'clock across the nation loud and proud Sunday Morning', I don't know about you guys here but I just love the wording of it. Sounds very dinky dye Australian doesn't it.
The HIGHEST television I've ever seen it. Beans? Not beans - Coke - lines of it, I'm sure. You would have to be at least 30 years old to enjoy it while it was on the table. Careful with the straw & watch the mirror - distances can be difficult to judge. Indeed, do it for your self... judge, I mean: for It's The Ratties - it's totally wft!
Loved Couch Potato! Grant was also fantastic in a small role in Janus (aussie crime drama from mid 90s) i'd encourage everyone to check it out, it's a hundred times better than Underbelly.
Grant's the male voice over artist for the Nova radio network. He does all there male voice imagining. I see him every Thursday :-)
I Used to watch The Dreamstone on Couch Potato before Church. It was a sadly overlooked show from the 1990's.
I remember The Dreamstone now, thanks for reminding me. I don't think I cared about it as much as my sister did though.
OMG! thanks for uploading this! my sister, mum and I loved this show!!
Just remember the theme tune to this out of nowhere and had to look it up! haha Remember this when I was a kid xD
One person is a cat.
I love how Spike worked in jibes to harry seacombe. I think that made my day.
"Meanwhile, Baby Rattie keeps a sharp look out for Jehovah's Witnesses..." Gold.
OK, what the did I see a rat cleaning jumping beans or was I dreaming
Couch Potato was rad. Bring Back Recovery AND Couch Potato, THE WEEKEND TO END ALL WEEKENDS! I've been present in all the incarnations of 'Potato, it was fun!
This wasn't actually co-written by Spike per se, but he's clearly improvising while he's babbling.
Couch potato was cool but what took it over was way cooler - Recovery :D
OHHH i remember this, i have an episode on video somewhere.
The way Spike corpses through this is the funniest part...
bloody awesome!
God I loved this show. Thank you Spike for keeping my brain from dullness in my youth!
Fernando and Studmuffin, maybe you're right, but to me and my friends, we thought the same thing after they got rid of James Valentine and the actual music theme for The Afternoon Show. I'm sure the kids who watch Rollercoaster now think the same thing of Michael Tunn. The Rollercoaster guy has now quit finally, so the new generation of ABC3 fans will think this "old skool" ABC1 show is just crap.
Believe it or not I was just commenting on another spike video on youtube a minute ago, complaining that I haven't seen the ratties in years! lol! Thanks for uploading this clip. Are you any nearer to item 475 yet?
spike milligan was the master of random :)
I remember Couch Potato very fondly, I only just realised that the host was 'Max' from the kids' show 'Finders Keepers'! Thanks for uploading this!
that was adorably humorous :)
Spike Milligan is a legend!
All we need now is the Sports Cartoons.
COOUUUCH!! Anybody got the actual intro to the show? Though I hated the revamped version of the show with the new intro. It still had the "Couch Potato" voice over at the intro but then it changed to the host driving her car to the ABC and having her mates push it all the way when it broke down.
GREAT CARTOON
u legend! :D
WE'RE RATTIES! RAT RAT RAT RATTIES!!!! zomg!!! X'D ty for posting
Any plans to upload more Ratties episodes?
I recall this! On Nickelodeon, this ran as filler.
what a wonderfully manic load of daftness!
OMG reluctantwriter7..i know the feeling!! None of my mates remember this bloody classic!! i was begingin to think i dreamed it!!
I can't believe I found this here!! I was starting to think I made up watching a show called ratties when I was growing up!! LOL Great memories!
i loved this show!
love the ratties, still got my VHS of it, lol
I used to watch The Ratties on Nickelodeon some twenty or so years ago, it was one of my favorite shows on Nick, thanks for the video.
The Ratties is great, though wouldn't have been possible without Spike. God bless Spike.
Is that Mariah Carey In The Background? xx
Lol I loved this show... Spike Milligan was insane genius!
dude i feel so old now....ah who cares it rocks!
