6.7 Super Duty Rear Hub Seal

This is a how to replace a rear hub seal on a 6.7l Super Duty. This is a 2013 single rear wheel axel. Torque to 70 ft lbs then brake Tq and re-torque to 15 ft lbs final. I do have one alibi the seal actually broken half on the wheel hub so when I say the seal is larger than the other that's not right the other piece was still on the shaft on the truck. if that happens you can just pry it up wit...

Telling us what you had for dinner before showing us step by step.
I could not get the driver side of the dash to come back, but I propped the passenger side back. Changed the evaporator core as it laid on the floor. Thank you!
Nice, thanks. What a pain in the
My guy skipped the most important part of the clutch swap which is showing how the clutch comes off and goes back on.
I’m gunna cry cuz I gotta do this 😂
Your aren’t to damn explanatory, not a god damn bid of help here
Remember, the engineers easily could have made a hatch to access the evaporator.
Hey I’m back I sold that 6.7 I now have another 6.7 and guess what? The evaporator is leaking as well 😂 Guess I’ll have to go through with it this time.
What was the truck doing that?Made you realize that it was the evaporator

the problem is getting to it! no help at all!
yea i dunno what motor you have but my coolant just left the building hose clamped and all.
Dash come out in 1 piece in under 45 minutes 11 bolt hold dash plus shifter cable 1 bolt for steering wheel hood release and park brake release.
Cool 😎
As @paulwatson4321 said DO NOT DO THIS!!! The fan shroud is split from the factory. It is held on by three 8mm bolts driver side, and two 8mm passenger side. Move the power steering reservoir and move the coolant tank on the opposite side off to the side. After that the whole assembly lifts out with the part with the rivets. Took me around 10 minutes.
Cool video
And your short comings left the customer a nasty ass box,, Great job!
@@budharrison8494 good thing it's my truck and it's a work truck that has made me $400k. It did what I needed it to do.
I tried this on my 2013 350 work truck and it didnt work. I can hear it blowing just nothing coming from any vents.
Is draining the oil beforehand required? Thanks.
No it has little to no pressure at all
Great great video, besides replacing the orings what else are you adding to seal it correctly? Thanks
Just a New O Ring
where are all the plugs my works if i jump the plug where the egr was i can not find where it goes now?
Bout to dig into one of these today. I appreciate the video.
Yeah don't do this. The top half of the fan shroud unbolts. Don't mangle it. Then use a air hammer to spin the fan clutch off, it's a normal thread. Then the whole fan and clutch lifts out where the shroud was. No messing about swapping fan in the engine bay. Hack.
Thank you for this comment. I almost did what the guy in this video did and drill rivets, etc. It only took me 10 mins to pull the shroud once I realized it was split design.
It’s 89 inch pounds …..
Thanks for the video! All I needed to know, was where the quick connector was. I had no A/C until you wiggle it. I'll hard wire it now.
It takes 10 minutes guys to pull the dash look up how to pull a 6.4 ford dash in 10 minutes
Wtf? This guy shows how to film yourself doing nothing.
If you're like me and came to this video to find out which way the clutch fan spins off: Its right hand thread. Loosen it off like you would any other bolt. You're welcome
It was a pain to do.
So lefty loosey righty tighty? Was it extremely difficult to take off?
@@restorationshorts sometimes they can be. Your biggest ally is getting the pulley held in place and then using a fan clutch tool with an air hammer.
didn't even give the details for the fan clutch removal.. like if it was reverse threads or not. waste of time. time is money. but heres another view and comment for your crap video
Does this leak a lot of oil/coolant when you remove it?
No there is almost no pressure.
@@curtisf2814 I appreciate it! Mines not leaking but my oil temp is rising very easily and quick. Up to 250 and will still climb if I don’t pull over and let it cool down, while coolant stays at 191. I’m hoping I just have a faulty oil cooler because I can’t figure out what else it’d be. I just put a new engine and entirely new fuel system in the truck. I was just curious on this because I wasn’t sure if I’d loose a lot of oil or coolant once I pull it off.
I didn't disconnect the coolant line. Just get a set of the green hose clamps and clamp it off. You're going to lose coolant from it for sure if you unhook that.
@@curtisf2814 thank you very much, this is helpful! I’m 21 and I’m stuck across country trying to get my truck drive able to make it back home and I haven’t been getting much help from anyone around here. Mechanic charged me $5k to drop a motor in (just labor) and there’s lots of issues and he won’t fix them or help me with anything so I’m doing what I can. Again thank you, I just did an oil change 2 days ago and it has new coolant, I didn’t want to loose it all and have to buy it all over again. Have a great night!
horrible video, all the most important parts he skips over. its like reading a recipe on how to bake a cake and its all like "turn the oven on, put cake in oven, now enjoy!!!' if you're already irritated from doing the job don't watch this video!!!!!!!

Hope it fixed it up for you

Your welcome
Is there not a cab air filter on this year model?
No 😯
Just bought a 2012 F150 and will do this if needed. I did this with a 93 Ram. Cut a 4" hole and installed a large screw in cap that fit the hole with threaded receptacle. I would think 2" or 3" threaded cap and receptacle would be available like at the end of a water proof tube for fishing or whatever would be real clean and easy to remove.
Worked.well for me. I ended up drilling a 2" hole and ended up plugging it with a round, grommet mounted clearance light I had. Worked out very well and has I tight seal! I obviously didn't energize the light...only function is as an easy-to-use cover for the hole I drilled in the lower evaporator housing.
I didn't cut the hole completely out, just three sides so I could push flap back in place.
Yeah at the time I was just like irritated so I just saw the crap out of it 😂
Just tried it and it worked great!!!
All because they cant spend a few bucks for a cab air filter lol. Well here we go lol
Sick af thanks man
Just before you use the hose, take the passenger tire off and lower the truck as low as you can get it, the water level will favor that tire and help water stay out of the cab when you flush it out..
Or just drive the other three tires 2 by 4s
Hey buddy, thanks for the video. I have what looks like bubbling coolant/oil mix coming from the area of the oil cooler and dripping down to the bottom of the bell housing. Was that the leak you have?
No mine was leaking straight up oil. It's water cooled. May have to remove it to inspect the backside of it to see if you had some type of pinhole developing it or something.
@@curtisf2814 thank you
Waste of time the whole point of people viewing this is which way does it spin he doesn't show the ha d part lol
Good video, just think. You were breathing the air that went through that EVAP core.
Why not pull dash as one assembly?
I'm not to sure you can do this I'll let you know I have to do I'm again as the one in there is cracked again.
You didn’t show shit
Do you have the torque specs and sequence for reinstalling the oil cooler?
Sorry no
Good video man! I need to replace My coolant hose from the lower rad as it’s leaking at the connector. Do you have any tips for me on that job? Thanks in advance!
Not really just be prepared to pay $150 for the antifreeze
@@curtisf2814 I was planning on just disconnecting the hose from the cooler and letting it drain a bit before replacing the hose. I was hoping I wouldn’t lose all of it Did most of it come out when you did yours?
Okay so how tight did u tighten the bolts on the oil cooler. I put seals in mine today and end up cracking the oil cooler trying to tighten it down. I didn't think I was tighten it to tight.
I heard a pop when I was putting in the top bolt and I guess it cracked it. So I'm gonna have to get a oil cooler now.
@@emoon_outdoors that sucks just good and tight.
