Hibike! Euphonium is one of my favourite shows of all time, likely because the story and its characters feel real and lively despite being fictional. I can relate to most, if not all, of Kumiko’s personality traits, both good and bad. That’s why seeing her journey with all the ups and downs means so much to me. Things mightn’t turn out the way you want, but the world moves forward anyway, and all you can do is accept it and move on as the best things happen to those who make the best of the way things turn out. When you look back at the re-audition, you notice Kumiko's sound was more expressive and loud compared to Mayu's, which was calm and soft. This was probably the reason why she lost, because Mayu's calm and soft sound resonated more with Reina's trumpet. But im happy Kumiko played the way she did, despite her losing, because i know that thats the type of character she is. She played those sounds from her heart and mind, which explains how expressive the sound was. I couldn't have been more happy of voting for her sound, because her sound reflected kumiko herself 🙏

the amount of tears i had shed on 12th episode... fuck it was so intense i became so connected with those characters its crazy, no other anime did it for me characters seem human... they are actually alive on the screen
