Hey DeJon, great question. After a few weddings we ended up using a RODE shot gun mic which did improve the sound, but unless your're a few feet away from the audio source...its nothing ground breaking. As far as patching into a mixer/sound board wirelessly, that is somthing i've been considering doing some more testing on and possibly making a new video on down the road. This video was really created and geared towards engaged couples during the early stages of the pandemic who REALLY wanted to LiveStream their event at an extream low cost. Hope that helped!

Are you referring to the music being played in the back ground during a couples ceremony?

@@Enchantedmediapro Right on, so the few times that our couples did live stream their wedding ceremony, as far as we know Facebook did not intervene or pull the video because of any copyright issues due to unlicensed music playing in the back ground during the ceremony. This is just my opinion, but because of the pandemic they would probably cut couples some slack during this time. I hope that helped answer your question!

Hey Jennifer, so if someone such as a grandparent does not have a Facebook account then they will not be able to access the Facebook group. Yes, you can share the Facebook group link to a wedding website. The Facebook group page has a direct URL. All you have to do is copy the link and share it to your site. When someone clicks on it, then it will take them to the group. Best of luck and I hope that was helpful!

Hi Caleb, great question. So we have not seen Facebook mute audio from the ceremony audio/music playing in the background. One thing to note though is that the phones built in mic is not the best sounding source of audio. So, virtual guest in the FB group will have a nice visual, but the audio is lacking. There are options for improving the audio such as purchasing somthing a mic to mount or somthing like a iRig adaptor amzn.to/3kny2Nf for your phone and connecting it into a mixer (if the couple hired a DJ) . Another option is purchasing a BOYA BY-M1 Omnidirectional Microphone. The only issue witht a BOYA BY-M1 (for wedding ceremonies specifically) is that a couple wont want this long wire running down the aisle attached to their phone. Then theres the Rode Filmmaker kit which is a wireless option, but then youre looking at spending $300-$400 bucks on the mic set up alone, on top of everything else it really starts to add up and you might as well just pay a professional who knows what they are doing. There is a compnay called Hooke which I recommend ALL content creators to check out as they are about to launch a tiny, wireless lav mic that connects via blue tooth. They will be launching a Kickstarter for it soon. I've seen the prototype and I will be backing it up as soon as their Kickstarter is live. thanks for the thorough response. i’m actually a DJ that added live streaming to keep gigs. i find that if i have the ceremony properly mic’d then the sound from the speakers is loud enough to pickup clear in the iPhone mic. it doesn’t have to sound dry, just clear. not like there’s a rock back to compete with - although placement next to a coughing cousin, undulating uncle, or asthmatic aunt can be a problem. i’ve never liked BT mics, but maybe the short distance is worth it. i have Bose S1 Pros and could send a line out from there. i used Twitch because it records and i can download and delete the video before they can strike it as i stream the whole reception, too. i’m not doing this on as much a pro level and just getting good content for distant guests. small add on to my package.
