ALOHA! My name is Eric Keawekane and I have been creating art for over fifty years. I love it - drawing and painting, ceramics and sculpture, graphic design, drumming, photography and... FILM. Of all the artistic mediums, only film has the ability to capture and communicate by combining any or all of the other mediums. I especially enjoy capturing what is good in the world - Especially surfing. My son has also discovered his own love of surfing, photography, and film and so we've joined forces share what we capture.
WHY KEWE? Growing up friends had trouble pronouncing my long Hawaiian last name so I got the nickname "KEWE" - Pronounced like the fruit and all things New Zealand. KEWE has stuck. And so, I sign all my fine art with "KEWE" and conclude videos with "KEWE FILMS".

Oh what a difference a week makes! Last Monday was clean and perfect and today was... not. Didn't stop Summer San O surfers from gettin' out and gettin' after it. Filmed on Monday, June 17, 2024 from about 7 AM to 11 AM. Check it out!

Love you Aaron! You always keep it real. I was pretty sure that with a nearly two-hour video most folks wouldn't stay with it til the surfing got good. When the surf finally got good, so did the surfing. Barrels for all.

I grew up surfing Churches, middles, lowers, uppers and Cottons point, Sano, T-street and 204. Never knew Churches had a left. Thanks for sharing the video-I miss it all

The tall goofy foot guy with a board just a little long.But he gets the right size board about 3 inches shorter than the one he is riding at the Creek here.But he showed the most potential to start killing it.Kind of a mix of Machado and Chris Frohoff from back In the day he ripped.

Fun morning!!
I’ve been laid-up for a few months waiting for an operation I finally got last week. I missed the UK autumn & winter swells. This video is like the dreams I’ve been having, nice swells for longboarding, good period, plenty of space for everyone. Another six weeks and I can begin regaining fitness ready for autumn. No idea if my pop-up will have survived everything, could be a new adventure with knee-board or sponge. Make the most of it you youngsters. The aging process is relentless but manageable if you stay strong and go with the flow. The big birthdays just seems to arrive so suddenly!
