Deadpool & Wolverine Review
Like the ghost of an old Neil Simon play, risen from the ashes of a bygone era. Add a pinch of chaotic to a dash of neurotic, and you've got a winning combination. Take a walk with me as I review a film from a long-forgotten multiverse, where character was king! Or in this case, co-kings.

Also kinda like a buddy cop movie.
Thank you for the comment! I agree. In spirit it kinda is.
I wouldn’t have cared or noticed if she hadn’t totally flipped out over the fan edit. But yeah, she’s giving nothing.
Thank you for the comment!
Such an underrated channel, baffles me why the views are so low.
Agreed.
Thanks for the comment! Guess I just gotta keep at it!
@apocalypsetedium just keep putting out A grade stuff.. it wil grow organically

It's crazy that you don't have more subscribers. Really enjoying these video essays you've been putting out.
Got to 0:22 and it sounded like another Critical Drinker "everything I dislike is woke garbage" type of video. Got to 1:11 and nah, this is just another guy bitching about a movie with women in it and making feeble complaints for views. No thank you. Bet he loved Top Gun Maverick.
@@crichton397 Top Gun Maverick kicks ass.
Thank you for the comment! Glad someone's enjoying them!
@@crichton397 Thanks for watching that long! Keep going to the end. And check out my custom subscriber calls!
@@Plissken1996 Haven't seen it. Been meaning to since it got so many good reviews.
i hate incels as much as the next guy but it really baffles me they would make a sequel to a movie specifically designed to make fun of people who liked the original movie and then thought that it would do well financially. just a really incredibly stupid decision.
Thank you for the comment! I agree. It almost seems like nobody at the studio even read the script.
because modern day liberal arts consists of nothing but a load of narcissistic self projection from people that are barely sentient enough to know they are alive, let alone know the basics of self reflection and empathy.
Theater nerds will literally ruin anything other people are enjoying

well made

Honestly, can we all just agree that Taika Waititi is the Will Ferrell of directors? He's enjoyable when working within limitations, but given free rein his ego produces shiny birsh!t. It's easy to sympathise with him because he's clearly human; when told he's a genius by the vampires of Hollywood he sucks it up, wide-eyed like a deer in headlights. He's repeatedly been given budgets beyond his abilities. This is of course traditional in Hollywood; however, he's not the only one being bombarded with tidings of his celebrated genius. I keep watching his offerings and catastrophically failing to appreciate his splendour. Jojo Rabbit is a prime example: yes, Taika; racism bad. Hitler, bad. Book-burning, bad. Only thing that redeemed that movie were the comedic performances of the criminally under-used side characters. To expect Waititi to helm something like Time Bandits and actually understand...well, firstly, understand why he absolutely SHOULDN'T f@cking touch it in the first place... is clearly beyond his intellect; but it's also clearly not beyond his bloody ego. In his mind - and apparently those of the Hollywood Bigwigs - he's the perfect man to handle turning it into a soulless, cash/clout-grubbing series.
Thank you for the comment! I agree.
Best title ever lololol
Thank you for the comment! I'm glad somebody liked it!
@@apocalypsetedium i fell off my chair laughing lol
Also “who puts children in danger” did you even watch temple of doom
Nah, she wasn’t female indie, they were testing a new character before they moved forward with her adaptation of tomb raider to see if her as the lead of a new branch of Indiana jones spin off
It’s not called Joker 2, if you thought that it was called joker 2 the movie 100% was not for you I enjoyed the movie, and especially the musical bits Felt the ending was week but if anymore comes after expanding on Arthur’s killer it could be 100% redeemed I don’t think it’s a perfect movie but I enjoyed it And people saying the self defense thing was against Arthur’s character missed the point, he was literally playing himself up to be the Joker everyone, even his lover, wanted him to be. There was a plot; Arthur’s trial and Quinn’s affect on his mental health, The difference between criticism and hating is good faith.
It literally has "two" in the title. Which is a play on words. But part of the "play" is the fact that it's a sequel.
I fundamentally agree with all of your points, but I was (and am) willing to give this one a pass because, at least in comparison, it didn't fully insult me in the way that other movies carrying the same 'boss b!tch' themes tend to. Praetorian Jack was an odd character who seemed like a 2-dimensional accessory with little depth or explanation, yet he was capable and a functioning mentor. Dementus was, against the odds, a reasonably interesting villain. The action sequences always worked within a degree of internal logic; furiosa isn't over-powered, her abilities are believable in that Hollywoodesque fashion. No, it isn't great; it isn't Ellen Ripley. But it's mildly entertaining... which is something Hollywood has failed to be for nearly a decade! Where I absolutely concur with you is when you say thay we needed to see her eaning the name and title that she carries with her in Fury Road. The crucial point in that film is where Max goes back and convinces her to follow him back to the citadel; his entire argument is based on one word: 'redemption'; redemption is why she chose to abscond with the wives in the first place. Furthermore, when she finally kills Immortan, she says 'remember me?' as if there's some particularly monstrous secret that they share, some reason why she would hate him. As it stands at the end of Furiosa, she doesn't have any reason to hate him more than pretty much anyone else. She has no reason to seek redemption.
Thanks for the comment! Good points. I did enjoy many of the set-pieces and action scenes. I wish Miller would make more films in this fashion.
I paid 50p for it
Voller's plan needed to be fleshed out more.

The movie wasn't good.

They could've at least found someone good looking, not washed-up-whore Ann Frank.

Bootsey Collins......l wanna see Afrika Bambata next hahaha!
Thanks for the comment! Definitely gotta work him in next!
Yeah, Indy had to earn his way. Ditto Ripley in Alien. And Sarah Connor in Terminator. They feel so strong about this Shaw character, then give her a standalone film and let her earn her way.
Thanks for the comment!
Dude, I’m really impressed with this video, I honestly thought this was a large channel, it’s well written, edited and makes great points, hope this video and your channel sees a lot of success. Keep up the great work

I just don’t get how a person not liking a show makes them racist/sexist/etc

i like the content, lots of good memes and clips, you kind of beat around the bush though. I found myself skipping a lot cuz i just wanted to get to the point. Dont stop the memes and clips but maybe cut in half?

I mean, yeah. This is why I love the female characters in Xenoblade. They have their flaws. They act like they actually have emotions. They develop and grow as people. For example, Melia starts as a closely guarded, emotionally walled princess with no people skills and a defeatist attitude. But by the end of 3, she's a wise queen, a capable fighter, and has well-placed confidence that the main party will succeed in their goal. And she's just 1 of many
I saw a lot of cool movies with my Dad, and this was one of them. My grandmother insisted on coming, just to be with us. She ended up falling asleep, but that's OK. My Dad passed away in 2022, and one of the last things I got to do with him was watch "Peter Pan"... he loved the movie and told me how excited he was to see it when it first came out when he was 10.
Time Bandits could only be continued with Terry Gilliam's control and vision. It didn't need a sequel and I'll never watch this new show.
Another hijacking of nostalgia. And good job, Peter Dinklage. Lucky for him there was no tiny, virtue-signalling curmudgeon to bitch and moan before he got his roles. I guess he should give up acting if he feels so strongly about little people getting roles.
whats next a G rated Tideland?
WWTGD?
Completely unnecessary remake with none of the magic and all the woke propaganda possible
Thank you for the comment! I agree.
Just looked this up on IMDB and I haven't heard of any of the actors in it.
Thank you for the comment! Yeah, the Bandits aren't cast with anyone who's done anything I'd seen before.
We got a good story, why people forget about andor?
