Three needle join vs Three Needle Bind Off
Переглядів 5333 дні тому
Three needle join vs three needle bind off 💖 Both techniques combine two sets of live stitches but one binds then off and the other cuts the stitch count in half. These techniques can be useful in making stuffies, bags or garments. Save this post to remember the difference!
Pro tip for working sleeves using magic loop
Переглядів 5014 дні тому
🩶 Pro tip for working sleeves using magic loop! 🩶 When you make your magic loop turns, turn them in opposite directions. This will keep your sleeve from getting twisted. I tend to be a creature of habit and like to turn things the same way so it took me way too long to figure this out 😂 Save this post to keep your sleeves straight when working magic loop!
Three Needle Bind Off
Переглядів 4,7 тис.5 днів тому
🩶 Three Needle Bind Off! 🩶 I love using this bind off to join two sets of live stitches. One side is seamless and the other side has a straight line. In this case, the line is used as a design element. If you want the seam on the inside (like for a tank top strap or stuffie), just start with the right sides facing each other. Save this post for the next time you need a three needle bind off 😊
Watch this!
Переглядів 4505 днів тому
💙 Watch this! 💙 When I put my sleeve stitches on hold, I put them on a knit extension cord. Now it's time to knit the sleeves! So I can just slide the stitches back onto the needles. So simple! Knit extension cords: twice-sheared-sheep.myshopify.com/products/knit-extension-cords-stitch-holder-cords?bg_ref=YdFtElmss1 Save this post if this trick is going to save you so much time!

👋 3 Hand Stretches for Knitters! 👋 I love using these during long knitting sessions to keep my hands from getting stiff and sore. 1. Thumb stretch- use one hand to gently pull your thumb towards your body 2. Wrist stretch- use the opposite hand to gently pull your fingers away from your body 3. Whip Stitch
Переглядів 129 днів тому
✨️ Whip Stitch! ✨️ This is my favorite method for seaming. (Mattress stitch and I just aren't friends 🫣) The main difference is that you always enter the stitches from the same side rather than switching. So pick up the stitch from the first edge and then the second. I like to use both legs so it's nice and snug together. Then pull your yarn through and go back to the same side to repeat. Save ...
Your knitting is amazing! :0
@@Entlty007 aw thank you! 😊
How does that work? I had trouble telling what you were doing.
@ColorsofHopeCraftsASMR just working a sleeve. What part is confusing?
You said turn the two sides in the opposite direction.
That’s beautiful! I wear mostly triangle shawls and regular scarves.
I love always be kind yarn! I found them at Oregon flock and fibre fest and have been in love ever since

nice purls:)
@@KatelynEverhart-s5b aw thank you! 😊
Is that a weighted blanket? I haven’t had mine on me while I knit or crochet, I might have to try that
@Cutekat1997gaming yes it is! So helpful while I knit and crochet too 😊
Do you ever rewind the skeins of yarn that you have caked up? I have heard sometimes the first go around stretches the fiber and then reworked it relaxes it.
@@leekasten3549 nope! I haven't had that issue.
With any amount of patience I would never be able to do that😭😭😭
I’m sure glad I’m not the only one that opens up advent things all at once to check things out! 🤗. I really like the pink tree also!

I think your wall might be the same color as one of the walls in my house. Before it was a kids room, it was my craft room. There are two green walls and two purple ones.
@@ColorsofHopeCraftsASMR I love that! This room has one dark purple wall and three orange walls 😊
What a fun idea to have 13 yarns and open as an event for a taylor swift inspired yarn advent 💕 The yarns are gorgeous. Anne🐨au

It depends on my mood. If I’m feeling anxious, stressed, or overwhelmed, I do an easy project. If I’ve got more energy and I’m excited and/or motivated, I pick a harder one.
@@ColorsofHopeCraftsASMR that's awesome! Making a decision is so hard for me.
@ I know the feeling. Do you ever get bored with a project halfway through and feel like it’s never ending?
@ColorsofHopeCraftsASMR sorta. I usually like to have one focus project. If I'm not feeling something then it goes out of rotation. And I have to decide to frog it or fix whatever I'm not feeling about it.
What are cabled cast on stitches? I have never heard that term before.
@@ColorsofHopeCraftsASMR cabled cast on is a type of cast on. These are the stitches made from it.
@ I’ll have to look it up and keep it in my back pocket. Usually I do the long tail cast on.
@ColorsofHopeCraftsASMR I have a whole long form video on it and why I switched to it from long tail 😊
That’s looking beautiful!

@@TRIBE-v4w aw thank you so much! 😊
Thank you for sharing cardigan pattern. I looked on Raverly at her other patterns that I marked for future reference. I can’t wait to see your vlog videos in Dec.. You will do great. 🎄 You helped me with the anthology throw getting going, so that is a super idea for a tree skirt! I am using my advent calendar yarns to make this throw now.
@leekasten3549 oh yay! I'm so glad I could help. I love seeing what others are making so I'm glad I could be that for you 🥰
I was just getting ready type to ask if your hair clip was a ball of using and needles, and then you showed us! That is too adorable!!!❤
@shelby6066 I chased a girl around at Sacred Sheep to find out where she got hers so I could get one too 😂
@knitlifeoils we might be related! I would do that too! 😂😂😂
@shelby6066 it was just so cute! I saw several people have them and I just needed one too. I'll wear it to all my events 😅
I’ll do a similar video on stretches for double jointed knitters! Or maybe I won’t because it creeps people out lay my thumb down on my wrist. Haha
Looks interesting. Wish it was a little slower to really understand what you are doing.
This is the best! I started casting on the way you began and mentioned, but this is brilliant!! I am also a tight knitter, so I hardly do it. So even after 15 years I am still a beginner as I am not a huge fan of knitting. This will change everything for me. Thank you so much. In Portland area? Me also😊
@shelby6066 yay! I'm so glad you could relate. Yes, I am. Send me a message on IG and let's connect 😊
Thanks for sharing! I just started using circular needles for the first time ever, and doing120 stitches of a long tail cast-on on a rather short needle was tedious. I will likely do this from now on.
@@mehtarelingolien yay! I'm so glad I could help you find a new method 😊

I figured out I can do both when I’m knitting short rows. It saved a lot of time!
Nice! I crocheted a blanket for my son while I was pregnant with him. I think it took the whole nine months to finish! He’s 32 and still treasures it today. It’s so much work. Most people just don’t understand!
@photodumper wow! Sound like it was well worth it 😊
