Easily the best opening episode of any series.

This show is a masterpiece in my top 5. Jason’s character reminds me of my father in law so much minus all the bad traits.

Del loved Marty like a shine box

This Series just took off like a missile from the get-go, and never stopped flying until the Series Finale. If there was ever a pilot episode that instantly sucked the viewer in and earned total commitment, it was OZARK.

Del was way more intimidating than Omar, when i first saw this show i thought Del was the top boss and he honestly should’ve been

Thats the one thing i hated about Del... You get more flies with sugar than vinegar, and yet he was always threatening marty and his family... Which didnt make ANY sense considering the fact that Del KNOWS that Marty has always been straight with Him and Mr. Navarro... He didnt even know that they were actually stealing! And then when he found out, he KNEW Marty had nothing to do with it, but wanted to kill him anyways? Like, who tf are u gonna find thats gonna do what Marty does?! Shit just wasnt realistic...

This scene is very accurate it terms of investigation, when a person who is innocent feels like he's been suspected of a crime he didn't commit, he confronts the person who suspects and most of the time gets angry. However if the person is not innocent he will not try to confront it and rather go with the flow, even if the other person implies strongly. This happened in this scene as well.

2:12 They are interrogating a man who is literally melting into soup in front of them. Imagine experiencing this level of psychological denial.

I really want to get into ozark but I’m so tired of the cheating wife in good shows I want to watch. Like okay if she cheats that’s fine but my issue is the dude staying with her tryna work on their relationship n stuff. IDC IF YALL HAVE KIDS SHE CHEATED AND LIED TO YOU. after I found out she cheated my only priority is me and the kids and If the kids want to be stupid and be wit their mom there isn’t anything I can do.

What an absolutely amazing show. And this episode just sucks you right in at the very beginning.

Marty and the kids would have been better off if Wendy would have just ended here. Hindsight of course.

Wendy was truly terrible throughout the entire series but she was right at the end of the day 😂

They were already dead seconds after stepping outside. The burning core gave them immense several times over fatal doses.
