The canopy scrip I do on the plug befor you make the mold for it, so it has the line in the canopy mold to cut it too. i use tape to do the scribe line first. Then I glue the part in the mold and lay it up.

I miss my wife so much when she's away for work. The few days every 4 to 6 weeks that I get to hold her are heaven sent. She needs to come home permanently!

Thanks for the Stab Layup series Evan. I attended one of your courses about 12 years ago and learnt so much from it [most of which I've managed to forget]. Keep up the great work!

Evan, your video tutorials always inspire me to try new skills. I'm building a '70s glider with glass fuse and built-up wings. The designer used 1/16" x 3/8" spring steel blades plugged into laminated ply box to secure wing roots to fuse. Your video makes me wonder if your joiner/box concept could be used instead? I'd like to remain true to the original intent, but maybe a little update for weight/strength benefit? Anyway, your joiners are much thicker than the 1/16" blade I'd be emulating. Would you share any thoughts you might have, before I attempt the impossible? 😉 Thanks again, Evan

I would love to make a mold of my favorite sail plane fuselage. No longer in production. I still have two fuses and one canopy

Evan, this is very helpful, walk-through process. I have to ask a stupid question. You painted the inside of the mold yellow. Yet the fuselage came out yellow? I obviously missed something?? Thanks

Stupid question time, do you need to add any release agent on the mylars? Weather you paint them or just use them bare. Many thanks awesome videos.

Thank you so much for sharing such a detailed series of videos on your techniques Evan. This must be the most under viewed moulding series on UA-cam! Right, time to mix some paint - wish me luck!

I want to thank you so much. I was a competition full size glider pilot... WN - USA. I also was a RC model glider builder and flier. My pride and joy was the Dodgson Design Windsong which was a fun build and great flying machine back in its day. ua-cam.com/video/KJj2p5vMEko/v-deo.html I am going to move to the Philippines and will be buying a place and making a model shop with my son and teach him "the way". I have been searching the net for someone like you !!! You have taken the time to teach me (and many other viewers) the "up to date" building techniques of composite building. My goal is to make a modified Windsong and you have taught me all the necessary things to succeed!!! I am so thankful to you for your sharing of your skill !! If and when I start building I will come to your YT channel and connect. In the mean time.......again.....THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mike and Curt.
