The BDFA boys embark on an unforgettable escapade. Offroad excitement meets tranquil camping by the river. Ben & Harry guide and inspire Kate and Frankie to cast their lines. Lots of laughter and new found trout fishing skills against the breath taking back drop of the Victorian High Country.

In between study and exams the BDFA boys sneak out in to Westernport for a quick evening fish. The show almost gets hijacked by a couple of new members of the BDFA team. Glass calm and with the sun setting Ben and Harry land a beautiful 5.5kg Westernport Snapper to kick start the season. Ben and Harry head out to the local waters of Warneet. The plan is to target the highly prized Yellow Eye Mullet. They put secret techniques passed down over 3 generations to the test. Everyone enjoyed a feast of chicken curry along the way. Lots of laughs and shenanigans.

Huge milestone for the BDFA boys. Flipping the 7.4m Plate Alloy boat and settling her on to the new trailer. Lots of planning and preparation with plan A an epic fail. Luckily with a bit of ingenuity and muscle Ben, Harry & Kai managed to get the job done.The weather certainly didn't help with heavy rain making it even more challenging.

Time for an update on the progress of the Big Build. Ben and Harry have been doing their best to fit in some boat building around their busy year 12 schedule. Oh and their social lives!

A momentous day as the BDFA team flips the boat to complete the external welding. Ben & Harry had Chris, Mick, Matt & River from R & M Marine all turn up at dawn to help out. Special thanks to all these guys for the enormous effort which helped the flip go perfectly to plan. A massive thanks to Mike from Plate Alloy Australia for giving up his ANZAC day to inspect the works to date and share his expertise with Ben & Harry. The aim for the day was to fabricate and weld in the transom. Check out the results of a big day on the tools.

The Big Dog Boys Ben & Harry get to unpack their new 300HP V6 Yamaha. Matt explains the amazing functions of the Helm Master EX. Welding out the hull continues with the boys having a few gas issues! Great progress has been made and the BDFA 7.4m Plate Alloy is not too far from getting flipped.

The Big Dogs Boys Ben & Harry dodge a few storms to bag a haul of big Westernport King George Whiting for a Good Friday feast. Their target is fish over 40cm and the boys share their knowledge on baits, rigs and other important tips and tricks.

Ben & Harry welling out the hull to get the BDFA boat ready for flipping. Dan & Rod from Southern Boat Trailers visit to give the boys a run-down on their amazing new trailer. Once the hull is welded out it will be a momentous occasion when the BDFA boat gets flipped over to weld out the underside of the hull.

Ben & Harry head up to the Yarra Valley looking for a few 4WD tracks and new streams to fish. Jye joins the boys for his 1st ever trout fishing adventure, broken hand and all. Watch them test out their 4WD's and discover a stunning little stream that delivers trout & blackfish. Amazing scenery less than 2 hours drive from the city.
