NEW VANILLA TO LOWER THIRSTY BEAVER AT CUMBERLAND
Still part of our long weekend camping at Cumberland. This is 2nd ride of the first day at Cumberland. Since our friend Mark and the rest of our group arrived a bit late in the day, we have to do a quick ride before we ran out of sunlight. And since this is my 2nd ride of the day, my legs are already complaining. So I borrowed our friend Joel's 2024 Orbea Wild Ebike so I can catch up with mark and we can climb non stop. Enjoy.

Hi, thinking about bringing my med/large dog. Thoughts? Im mostly concerned about that rope part..
There were a couple of dogs during our trip there, and mad it out just fine. So you should be OK.
Thanks for the tour guide ed! looks Like a good place to spend the day.
Definitely!
Hiii Maple! I see you! Hehe
Lovely presentation my friend, this looks amazing!
Thank you.
What's the name of the room you guys booked?
I believe the room is Steamboat.
Thanks MAN! Good work. Good filming.
Thanks sa invite kuya ed 🙏
Nice Rocky, I’ve got the same one and love it!!
what was the date that the hike was done?
This was on mid July of 2022.
one mountainbike, and 2 motorbikes. one can brag about his physical strength and skills,. and the other 2 can discuss who has the biggest motor and most powerful battery,..
Good job snagging the Forester with the color switcheroo tactic 🤣🤙
Great Video! Fun to see!
Thank you.
Good choice and very wise decisions. Congrats Noy-pi.
New to the MTB world. Looking for an all-rounder bike that excels in various terrains. Would you recommend this bike? What's a fair price to pay for it in 2024?
Congrats. I have a 2021 subaru outback limited. The drivers side seat has cracked and torn. How is that possible a 3 year old vehicle. I am hoping you don't experience the same.
I have a 2018 Limited 3.6R, all seats are still intact. Are you living in a harsh weather area? Applying leather conditioner may help
Search 'crack seat subaru ' you will see I am not the only having this issue
Congratulations on the new cars! I've owned quite a few Subies over the past two decades and I've always enjoyed them. Good luck to you both!!
congrats, i luv subarus. ive had them since highschool. always rolled with the outback and currently on an outback wilderness for overlanding and stuff
Plot twist after the cliffhanger episode! Nice!
Congrats!
Thank you!
do you remember the date by any chance? (date and year that you hiked?)
July 1, 2022.
Cliffhanger episode? Aw man!
The reveal video is up now 😆
your dog was taking the best lines!
I know right?! better than mine. 😆
I can tell you are following him in a giant trance x 29er! I have one I am currently selling, I brought a 2022 Giant Reign E+ 3 with sram wireless shifting and rockshox Zeb fork on the used market first ebike, anxious to ride her!
That sounds like an awesome ride. Hope you're ripping it on the trails.
Holy shit everyone needs a battery bike?
haha. I'm not quite there yet, but I can see the benefits.
@@outthereed176 I can't
Maple knows Torpedo Run means "give'r"
I'm getting too slow for her.
Love this setup. It looks very capable
Very Capable indeed. Awesome ride.
Thank you for showing the road in/out! This was super helpful.
When I can't find info myself, I try to create one when I get there. Glad it helped.
Thank you for posting this! I've been wondering how my two children (ages 10 and 12) would fair on this hike ... After seeing your video I'm confident they'll be fine. I'm not sure about myself though, ha ha. Were the bugs bad when you were there?
If you haven't been up there yet, I believe the Alpine Club are working on some improvement on the trail. Specifically on that last steep stretch. And the bugs weren't so bad.
Hi ed. New to your channel. Great videos of Hartland. I have a XC bike, 100 mm front and 60 mm rear. I think it would help if you mention what bikes the individual trails would be good for? I’m not from the area so I wanted to make sure I’m not “under-biked”. Thanks.
Like riding a speeder in Return of the Jedi
Yeah, so much better in 4k.
Nice riding, sir! Getting some aggressive pop off those Torpedo features! Thanks for posting.
Enduro battery is the way to go! Since I switched, it last me most of the day riding. Also, why don’t you upload your videos in 4K?
that's some nice forest for biking! keep up the content dude :)
Very Nice indeed. Very grateful for where we live.
It only counts as a feature when it makes you go Woo-hoo!
haha. Then I didn't make the 45. I'll do it again. 😆
Happy birthday!
Thank you.
Hey, happy Birthday Kuya Ed!!!!!!
Thank you.
I finally made it to Hartland yesterday, I was so spoiled riding Langford and those machine cut trails, Hartland is definitely the OG style riding with all the technical rocks and roots, i mashed my pedals a few times and put my chain guard to the test once 😅 I will be going to Hartland more often for sure! I did Regional Trial South to Madonna connector to Madonna to N trail to Crossover to Shock Treatment then a few drops in the training area. As usual first time I spent lots of time on Trailforks navigating my way. I see why it is the “riding jewel” of Victoria. Hopefully run into one of these days.
haha. Classic Hartland Techy riding.
Sick bro, Thursday I did Wildcat, Berm Reynolds, green and blue pump track a few times each then worked on the drops, rock rolls and skinnies, I am so blown away by this awesome local park, it’s 20 minutes from my house 🤯 amazing now I’ll try peanut butter knife fight, looks like I should be able to roll it all like you. I appreciate your video’s, looks like we are roughly similar skill level. Keep killing it and putting out great videos
They really did a great job on these trails.
Wow! The rock roll on Twister looks like nothing on camera when I know how big it really is.
video's really don't do justice on how it really is 😆
Nice save 👌
sometimes it's luck 😆
We just moved to Victoria from Kelowna last Saturday, we are all unpacked and settled in so today I finally rode for the first time on the island, I went to Langford Gravity Zone and did one lap, climbed to the top and did Wildcat then sessioned the drops and skinnies. Soooo good and my favourite until the next ride
Pupper is ripping 😊
She is getting more comfortable and faster each time. Just love to see that she enjoys it so much.
I have only done night riding on XC trails in Saskatchewan so no long decent, this looks wild! Might have to join you guys one of these times 😅
It is quite an experience, and you are definitely welcome to join us.
@@outthereed176 I would love to join you for a daytime ride! It’s so much nicer to ride with someone who knows the trails. I am not working right now, waiting for the project to start. Can I join you sometime next week?
@@willbell9642 Sorry, just replied to this now. Definitely would love to ride with you. look for me in FB or IG and message me.
Thanks for the walking vista through the trees...Looks exciting, except that for those of us with weaker nerves, this might be a bit of a challenge as I assume all traffic is one way and once you start you have to do the full circuit to the exit.
Yes it is quite amazing. Weak nerve will definitely feel the height but the beauty of the trees will still be worth it.
@@outthereed176 Thanks you.
Field of Dreams, 2020, Fluid and Resurrection! Double D is a bit blown out right now so personally I think its over-rated. If you like flow, try Fluid, the berms are virtually untouched and smooth near the end of it.
yes, Fluid has some great mix of everything.
