Now wal-mart sells a 12V 6ah battery, but it seems to only be in stores. I picked one up yesterday, 37$ I believe. Same size as the 4ah, might weight a little more but not much.
The broken bolts may be due to over tightening. Do you use any impact tools on your bolts?
Excellent review! Thanks. 👍😊
I do automotive for a living and been using the hell out of this thing everyday for the past few months. Love it
You do have to have the receipt so you can prove the date that you purchased it. The warranty is good for 2 years. Now. Most places print receipts on thermal paper so the information disappears after about a year. So what you do is your photocopy it and that photocopy will last a lot longer. Also take a picture in your phone
That's like those old school MagLights compared to newer stuff.
why would you need both? doesnt an impact driver also drill regular holes?
Interesting, thx for video
The 4 amp hour battery for this is great because it adds extra uggas duggas with not much weight gain and it gives you a flat battery to stand the tool upright. I love this tool. I might have to get the brushless drill and impact when my Craftsmen tools play out.
I have the standard one and it's been a great asset to my toolbox.
I got the 20v 1/2 inch impact. it rocks.
Did they take it back? Or did you fix it? I am thinking about getting one today. Do you still recommend this one? Thanks!
Maybe toyota uses cheap bolts.
🤦
If I remember correctly, the standard ratchet is rated up to 100ft lbs. That's manually using it of course.
I've had the impact for about a year. I've had the ratchet for 2 years almost. The only gripe I have is the impact. It's got a slight delay after I push the button. Idk why, it's just annoying lol. But I love these tools! So small and convenient!
They have a battery now for the Hyper tough tools now 4 hour battery
did you buy it only for make an video ,why spend a lot of money if you have a milwaky, dewalt ,bosch then only because you want money from youtube.i now people with that kind of tool and perform very well sorry
Hype budget maybe, but definitely no Hyper trash. 😁😁😁
Hey bud i bought one today was wondering if you still using it
Thinking about taking my 1.5 ah and combining them making 3.0ah looks like be kind easy be longer out bottom.
Got the regular size one. Got fast charger,4 ah battery. Bought the drill because it was 21$ with few bits and 1.5 ah battery and charger. Got it because wanted extra battery the 2.0 ah battery was 18$ so for few more dollars got drill and charger to boot.
Thanks for reviewing
Got lug nuts off and you didn’t even use the 2ah or 4ah battery.
This tool was meant for knuckle busting jobs it makes the job a lot easier and less painful
Too much talking, get to it people loose concentration, just get to it
Tighten it
@@dats197life5 shut it
You can buy the Skil 12 volt for the same money when on sale. Much better quality, much better batteries and a real rapid charger.
Does this Chinese junk come with a side of beef and broccori ???
You sound like the type of person who buys Strap On only because of your inflated ego
I’m sure they will be just fine. People be acting like they supposed to break bolts off. Break it manually and spin it off
i also have a compact cheapo 12 ratchet in 3/8 ...what a marvelous tool .
Impact driver on lug nuts? Impressive to see that it had enough breakaway torque to get it done. Doing that repeatedly over time will most likely cause it fail. Driver are mostly used for driving in screws & tightening small fasteners. Why not get the impact wrench that they offer in that product line.
It was just a test to show it can compete with name brands. The wrench wasn't available at the time.
This impact isnt meant for lugs! This one is for fasteners (lagbolts, etc) they have one jusy like it with a more powerful motor with a 1/2 for sockets that works way better. I have all kinds of hyper tough tools and they all work great
Thanks for sharing. Interesting finding the details between the two out. Appears the Hyper Tough you have in the video is the newer style. I picked up an extended ratchet and looks like there is a older style of the Hyper Tough battery that does not mock the Craftsman battery pack more, though the height is the same as the Craftsman NEXTEC. With the new Hyper Tough tools, the Craftsman style pack will not fit all the way in. Thinking can 3D print an adapter with some sort of way to pull the adapter out, which I guess can be extruded plastic made as well. These Power Torque lithium ion battery might work with the NEXTEC tools as well I'm thinking. Interesting finding and glad UA-cam just recently suggested.
Guessing you saw ww123 channel video titled Hyper Tough / Craftsman Nextec. Here is what I observed in a crummy video regarding the Nextec and Hyper Tough batteries so you know if you didnt already. ua-cam.com/video/rMO_WCcMyfk/v-deo.html.
It could be a good idea with the battery. Both batteries can be 4amps, but the oriellys battery, can be designed to run longer & designed to give the tool more power than the hypertough battery.
I love hyper tough the are great tools and don't break your wallet.
Taking into consideration that all these electric ratchets come from China including milwaukee it might be a good ratchet.
Yeah no kidding. That's how I'm looking at it.
the long one can do short work but short cant do long work so i opt for the long one instead. i dont think anyone should get both. anyway i dont even think the milwaukee can break the fasteners or nuts that well either. what i look for in a next one is if they can make it more thin both body and shaft. that would be great!
Also something to take not of the reason it doesn't work on those other tools is because their brushless and yes they do use those extra contacts on the battery it helps with power draw, but now Hyper tough has out their own 4 amp battery, and a few new tools hope to see you review the other tools
I was the one that left the comment im sorry that it was very vague it doesn work but with mods
Why bother? Hyper Tough now sells a 4ah battery, and it's only 25 bucks. So it's actually cheaper than O-Reillys, plus you don't even have to modify anything. 🤷🏻♂️
Good eye, thanks for sharing. Glad I read this. Doesn't look like is out locally, though can be ordered online.
@@jafinch78I got one 24$
@Mrochoa246where? I saw it on Walmart for 25.
I took needlenose pliers stick it in the end of the tool and pride the two little black plastic tabs off much better than having to drill into the batteries
They now have a four amp battery
They make a 4 amp now and a 3/8 impact wrench
The 3/8 is grate pared up with the 4.0 batt it’ll take lugs off my boat trailer no problem at all
Just saw a 4ah battery at Walmart yo
power tough makes a 12v 4amp battery now good hack tho
Or you can take the top off one of the hyper tough batteries 🔋 because it has them plastic tabs on the battery or you can splice an adapter plug 🔌 on the end of the hyper tough charger
On the Walmart website hyper tough came out with 4ah battery looks just like the power torque and other 12v tools
I saw that, but they've been sold out every time I've checked.
I can't wait I love these 12v tools
I grabbed one in the store today and the box said 3,200 inch pounds. Ain't no damn way a 12 volt is pushing 266 foot pounds.
That’s the 3/8 inch impact wrench. Might have different internals than this which is a 1/4 inch impact driver.
@@ws4835 It was not the 3/8ths impact wrench.
@@theindooroutdoorsman I’m looking at my box and it says 1380 inch pounds for this tool. Not sure where you saw 3200 inch pounds.
@@theindooroutdoorsman the 3/8 impact wrench says it does 280ft lbs which is definitely not likely to be accurate.
@@ws4835 I saw it on the box in the tool aisle at the Wal-Mart by my house.
Just actively breaking bolts with zero care 😂 love it 😁 I didn't even know hyper tough made these. Nice
Man it hurts to break them. Just can't show it on camera 😰
Good information, thanks. Those are cheap enough to throw one in each vehicle just for flats. Think I’d have a breaker bar too just to break them loose.
Issue with brushless items is the lack of chip/computer communication.
I opened the battery after I made this video and that does appear to be the case.
