This happens sometimes… here in Canada, but normally, everyone either pays for their own individual mean or we agree beforehand how it’s going work if a special occasion like a birthday. Besides, my fiends don’t invite strangers to others in our party. Weee not interested in having anyone but close friends to a restaurant. In fact, if you’ve been invited to any bar/restaurant, assume you’re paying your way. It is the norm.
