New Vegas - Freeside Thug Convention
thugs bugged out and turned friendly to me, but without me culling them constantly, they kept breeding into a roving mob. RIP Grecks

From Discovery Channel's documentary: "Braveheart: The True Story." (I DON'T OWN THE RIGHTS TO THIS VIDEO) Interesting documentary that's worth a watch. I just pulled this out because it's a pretty excellent ballistic test, probably the only good historical weapons test on armor penetration I've seen on television and the internet, so I figured I'd upload this little segment for people to refer...

Teta_Bonita did this!
Warbows are 50 or 60 lb on the very lightest recurve In battle you could take at the very most 4 shots at long distance as long as no e hit the heart lungs or brain if you were well built
The fog of war.
I feel like Oblivion AI is self-aware. They know they're in a game, forced to do the same things every day, say the same lines, deal with the same people... and every so often they just snap and attempt to break through the simulation by murdering random NPCs for fun.
Police brutality 😂
Me da mucha gracia como el mendigo se papea a todos con su hacha 2:49
That't how civil war is started in Skyrim.
My favourite pat was watching a begger run around with a daedric axe.
This is honestly so good. Emergent gameplay, unpredictable, like the game playing a LARP itself, and yet it is something that we can't take for granted even in modern games.
amazing video.
when he runs away that shit is hilarious.
This is what happens when there is no Emperor in Cyrodiil
Nothing new under the sun and it’s all been done before only more professionally, Armour and armour plate was being imported in vast amounts from Italy and Germany in the 13th and 14th century and although they carried their point of origin proof marks pieces were retested, the nascent English armour industry was also beginning thrive and all needed a proofmark. In 1365 the armourers of London are in full work, but the results are not satisfactory. The King (Edward III) insists on proof or trade marks. “Certa signa sua super omnibus operationibus suis ponant.” Rymer, III, 772. The harness was tested by sword, lance and arrow. I believe the answer is found in the Henri Gallice 1515 L’art de Archerie where in Chapter 5 on The Shaft for arrows is found. ....”Many arrows are made of ash, but they are only fit for proving armour. They should be large at the point and reduced at the feathers so as to stand the jar on impact.” From page 62 “The armourer and his craft” on armour proofing. 1416. Compt de Gilet Baudry, Arch. Mun. Orleans. “Flêches à arc empannées a cire et ferres de fers d’espreuve.” Here the “feathering” of the arrow with copper is specified, for it was this metal wing which, acting like the propeller of a boat, caused the arrow to revolve with increased velocity. These arrows of proof cost double the price of ordinary arrows, for we have entries of such projectiles in the year 1419 costing 8s. the dozen, while the ordinary quality cost but 4s. the dozen. This translated from old French about 1430.... . It. which masters desd. mestiers will be required to need and make work of good fabrics, it is to know for as long as the armourers touch, they will make white armor for men-at-arms of any test which is to say crossbows with tilloles (arbalest)and with coursel (windlass) at the very least half proof, which is to be understood from crossbow to crocq and traict to archers, and as long as the brigandiniers are affected they will be required to make brigandines in the same way, it is to know the heaviest from 26 to 27 pounds pox de marc at the most , holding crossbow proof with tillolles and marked with 2 marks, and the lesser ones from 18 to 20 pounds, such as pitch as above and crossbow proof with crocq and traict d'archier, marked with a mark. And will be these seat brigandines, tramped everywhere and also all lined with leather between the blades and the canvas, it is to know in each encounter of blades, and cannot do less. brigandines of lesser blade pitch.... 3. It. and will need qe lesd. blades are filed all around so that your fabrics last longer.. Basically they were doing the arrow vs armour bit 650 years ago with 900 Ib windlass crossbows at vey short range.......armour always won.
The ancient Greeks created the Linothorax (the ancient equivalent to Kevlar), which was composed of multiple hardened layers of linen treated with seawater, resin, and special glues. According to Thucydides, an Athenian general and historian, the Linothorax provided equal, or even superior, protection to that of a bronze or iron cuirass. It was the preference of Greek hoplites during both the Classical and Hellenistic eras because it was cooler under the sun, easier to repair, and lighter. It could withstand blows from swords, javelins, and arrows, even when thrown from a close distance. The most effective assault against this type of protection was a strike from the heavy hoplite spear (Dori), although this still didn't guarantee a kill. There are accounts of hoplites resembling porcupines due to enduring a hail of arrows from Scythian archers or surviving multiple axe blows-all while remaining effectively combat-ready. And it was pricey..40000 euros in our times
Someone got murdered!
“Wait, why are we fighting again?” “Someone got punched 5 minutes ago.” “Oh that’s right. Yaaa!”
“I’ve fought Mudcrabs more fearsome than this town.” -Guard
I just want every single one of you to know, this is still funny, and will never not be funny. Oblivion is like a fine wine. Even after all these years, it’s still perfect in its own spectacular way.
Best game ever made
"Have pity, sir/ma'am, my children have nothing to eat." Five minutes later: pulls a Daedric Battleaxe out of his backside
14 years later and this got recommended to me lol
I actually just got Arma Gold edition and was looking it up myself rather than stumbling upon it. It's crazy how people still find videos like these after all those years lol
@@smokeygreeny4488 Yeah I specifically remember watching these in my childhood, so rarely i remember them and try looking them up again
And that, folks, is how the civil war started.
Cheydinhal is not safe.
A homeless guy attacking a city guard with a deadric battleaxe Me:"Should cut down on the ale, starting to see things"
I don't buy this for one second. That looked like a dodgy shot. Should've had a few more goes. A warbow can easily penetrate both gambeson and mail
Another town cleared from criminals. And from couple of citizens too
*SSOOMMEEOONNEE''SS BBEEEENN MMUURRDDEERREEDD!!!!!!*
Does anyone know the name of the host from this clip?
Oblivion version of the Nika riots
I love how you run around the action like a camera man lol
Where did that Street Bum get that Daedric Axe? <_<
One punch startet a civil war. xD
That homeless beggar picked up a Daedric Battleaxe value above 5k gold should have ran away instead of getting involved in your affairs.
This is the story of a guard who, not only killed his own men, but killed several civilians. That last line? That's his cover story.
HAMMER TIME!
Whoa, how many layers of what quality of "linen" ?
It just works! - Todd Howard
This is so funny to me
to be fair, the other guards dont know that you were the bad guy in the beginning.
"looks like there's a killer about.." Yeah fool!! You!! 🤣
Why don't they wear this in zombie movies
how did the homeless dude get a daedric weapon
I played a lot GTA SA for the free world when I was young. I lost a lot of time that it could been use into this masterpiece...
2:40 this old fart makes me remember every time 2 max lvl player are fighting each other and some random mob joins the fight
The beggar literally caused the Guards to turn on each other
Looks like there's a killer about...
As a real developer, I can say, this IA stuff it's all bull shit.
The guards screaming "help murder" over the guy they just cut down lol
