      In square columns, both the major and minor axes are identical due to their symmetry. The moment of inertia and stiffness are the same in both directions, so either axis can be considered as the major or minor axis.

    Dear Sir, What about if the structure is of tall building structure with G+20 or more stories along with lateral loadings (Wind & Seismic) considered. Even then the .accdb/.mdb format file is generated wrt same version of etabs software?? Thanks....

      It's based on sign convention. Upward force [32 KN] will create positive bending moment and horizontal thrust [20 KN] it will create negative bending moment.
